Tuesday was the busiest day of the 2024–25 NBA Season as all 30 teams were in action. The league’s two remaining unbeaten teams—the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder—remained unbeaten, while the erstwhile winless Utah Jazz finally got a win.

The biggest stories of the day, though, were the return of two superstars from injury, the Los Angeles Clippers making history, and the Detroit Pistons shocking the league.

Paul George, Steph Curry Return to Action

The Philadelphia 76ers finally got back their prized acquisition this offseason as Paul George made his debut for the team against the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center in Arizona.

George, who missed the Sixers’ first six games of the 2024–25 NBA Season, finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in their 118-116 loss to the Suns.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors also got their own superstar back on Tuesday as Steph Curry suited up in the Dubs’ 125-112 victory over the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena.

Curry had previously missed the Warriors last three games after spraining his left ankle in the Dubs’ October 27 win against the Los Angeles Clippers. But he was back like he never left, scoring 24 points, including 16 in the second half, and dishing off 6 dimes.

Clippers Make History at Home

After four tries, the Los Angeles Clippers finally won at the newly opened Inuit Dome, besting the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday thanks to a furious fightback in the last three quarters.

Early on, the Clippers looked headed for a fifth straight defeat in their new billion-dollar home, falling behind 40-14 after one. But the home team stormed back in the second canto, outscoring the Spurs 34-16 to cut the lead to just eight going to halftime.

The Clippers continued their superb play in the second half to get their first-ever win at Inuit.

Detroit Pistons Pull Off Shocker vs. Los Angeles Lakers

It looks like the Pistons’ subway detour on Monday may have done them some good as they beat the Lakers on Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena.

The Pistons rode on the back of a strong first half, where they built a 14-point lead going to intermission, and then staved off the Lakers’ fourth-quarter push.

Jaden Ivey led the Pistons with 26 points, while Cade Cunningham finished with a triple-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
