Saturday’s seven-game slate were mostly blowouts, except two. One was an OT thriller that saw both teams make big play after big play, while the other was a heavyweight showdown that went down the wire.
Here is a recap of Saturday’s notables around the Association:
Wizards Stop Losing Skid with Upset Win Over Nuggets
It took a little over a month, but the Washington Wizards finally notched a win, upsetting the Denver Nuggets, 122-113, at Capital One Arena.
The Wizards leaned on Jordan Poole’s team-high 39 points to overcome the Nuggets (11-10), who were without starters Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. That left Nikola Jokic to do the heavy lifting, finishing with a game- and career-high 56 points on top of 16 rebounds and 8 assists.
But the Wizards (3-18) were not to be denied as they won for the first time since October 31 and snapped a 16-game losing streak.

Grizzlies Shock Celtics at TD Garden
Ja Morant scored 32 big points to go along with 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a huge win over the Boston Celtics, 127-121, at TD Garden.
The Celtics (19-5), who were paced by Jrue Holiday’s 23 points, erased a 14-point Memphis lead in the third and looked poised to win their 11th straight at home versus the Grizz (16-8). But the visitors retook the lead at 117-115 before extending it to 124-115 with less than three minutes left.
Jaren Jackson Jr. added 27 points, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 blocks for the Grizzlies, who last won in Boston in 2013.
