Despite facing an undermanned Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors still crumbled, even with Steph Curry’s terrific performance.

Golden State Blowing Another Huge Lead That Resulted in a Loss

The Warriors once again collapsed late in the game despite having a great head start. They were up by as much as 18 points in the third, and although the Nets slowly came crawling back up, the Dubs were still in the lead before the fourth quarter began, 92-87. However, Brooklyn immediately made an 11-2 run which put them ahead. Eventually, the Brooklyn Nets pulled away with the win, 128-120. Just two days ago, Golden State also blew a 17-point lead against the San Antonio Spurs in what could have been their 13th win of the season.

Dennis Schroder fired for 31 points for Brooklyn including 4 made shots from three-point land. The German star also recorded 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Youngsters Cam Thomas (23), Jaylen Wilson (18), and Ziaire Williams (19) also contributed well on offense. Unfortunately, Cam Johnson suffered a right ankle sprain which forced him to sit out the remainder of the game. The Nets have been fiddling with injuries as of late, with Nic Claxton and Bojan Bogdanovic missing a ton of games. And now, Ben Simmons as well as Cam Johnson are out due to lingering health issues.

On the other hand, Curry finished the game with 28 points, and 24 of those came from behind the arc. Without him, the Warriors struggle to score which is an evident issue in their offense this season. Despite losing two straight, they are still the second seed with a 12-5 record. They’ll still be in California to face the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder on November 28.

The Nets will stay on the road to face the Phoenix Suns before returning home on November 30 for another NBA Cup matchup.
