It hasn’t been a pretty start for the Philadelphia 76ers so far. Without Joel Embiid, Philly continues their losing streak to four after getting beat down by the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, November 7, 110-98.

The Clippers played fantastic basketball, which resulted in a win even though Kawhi Leonard was sitting on the sidelines. They were shooting well over the 40% mark from behind the three-point line, completely clearing the Sixers who were just completing 28% of their attempts from downtown. Norman Powell finished with 26 points and 6 assists while James Harden gave 18 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. The player who’s been taking the league by storm is the Croatian big man Ivica Zubac, who put up 15 points and 9 rebounds. In his first 8 games of the 2024-2025 NBA season, Zubac has been averaging career-highs in points (17.1 PPG) and rebounds (12.5 RPB), which puts him as a top candidate for the Most Improved Player honors.

Paul George Met With Boos From the Clippers Crowd

After missing the first six games due to an awkward knee injury, the newly acquired Paul George finally graces Sixers fans on Thursday. Ironically, his first game in the regular season is against his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers. Surely enough, the 9-time All-Star was met with boos from the crowd. However, even with limited minutes, PG still showed up with 18 points, 2 assists, and 7 rebounds.

Sixers fans are also worried about Tyrese Maxey who checked out of the game due to a hamstring soreness. His status is still unknown at the moment.

The Philadelphia 76ers will pay a visit to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday.
