Team Liquid Philippines has done it again! For the third straight year, they’ve asserted their dominance on the global stage, storming into the MLBB Mid-Season Cup Semi-finals with a flawless 3-0 sweep over Aurora Turkiye at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Filipino Sniper, Kiel “Oheb” Soriano, was unstoppable with the Granger in Game 1, racking up a flawless 10-0-5 KDA as TLPH unleashed their might, finishing the match with a massive 15k gold lead and a crushing 19-2 kill score.
He stayed on fire in Game 2, closing out the final clash with a Maniac- a stunning four man takedown that sealed a commanding 2-0 lead for the Cavalry. Jaypee Dela Cruz was equally brilliant on the Mathilda, providing key saves to finish with a clean 2-0-4 KDA.
Aurora put up a strong stand in Game 3, keeping the match close and pulling off a successful Lord defense at the 18-minute mark. However, the Cavalry proved too much to handle, with the SanSan duo stepping up. Alston “Sanji” Pabico turned the game in their favor with a brilliant play on the Pharsa that led to a three-man takedown, while Sanford Vinuya delivered a masterclass on Cici with a flawless 5-0-3 KDA.
The reigning MPL Philippine champions may have missed the finals in the past two editions, but with a flawless 3-0 series run and a dominant 7-1 match record, they look poised to reclaim the title for the Philippines—after back-to-back runner-up finishes in the last two years.
