The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (7–2) overcame a 14-point deficit and climbed to the No. 1 spot with a 90–84 win over Converge (6–3). Meanwhile, the Magnolia Hotshots Chicken Timplados (6–3) dominated the NLEX Road Warriors (6–3), securing a 98–82 victory on December 7.

Here are the players who made the biggest impact and the stats to prove it:

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Juan Gerardo Gomez De Liano CON PG 20 PTS | 9 REB | 6 AST| 44.8 FPS

Juan GDL shot 50% on two-pointers, but he wasn’t as effective from the perimeter, missing all four of his three-point attempts and going 1-for-3 on four-pointers. Still, he finished with his third 20-point game of the season, his fourth game with at least 9 rebounds, and his eighth straight outing with at least 5 assists.

Zavier Lucero MAG PF 18 PTS | 12 REB | 2 BLK | 43.4 FPS

Lucero came up big on both ends, finishing with 15 points for the fifth time this conference while also recording double-digit rebounds for the third time in his last four games. He’s also been a consistent presence on defense, leading the league with 2 blocks per game.

Justine Baltazar CON PF 10 PTS| 21 REB | 3 AST | 40.7 FPS

Balti had a rough night on the offensive end, finishing with a conference-low in points on a poor 4-15 shooting from the field. But he made up for it with his best rebounding game.

Leonard Santillan ROS PF 16 PTS | 9 REB | 2 STL | 33.3 FPS

Santillan delivered his third 15-point performance of the conference while also registering at least seven rebounds for the seventh consecutive game.

Gian Robert Mamuyac ROS SG 15 PTS | 6 REB | 3 AST | 31.7 FPS

Mamuyac finished with his fifth game with at least 13 points while also tying his conference-high in rebounds.

Larry Muyang CON C 18 PTS | 9 REB | 1 AST | 29.3 FPS

Muyang stepped up with Arana sidelined with an ankle sprain. He was nearly unstoppable on offense, going 8-for-11 from the field to record his conference-best in points. In his last season in the MPBL, he averaged 14.4 points and 10.8 rebounds in 27 games.

Jonnel Policarpio NLX PF 11 PTS  | 5 REB | 3 AST | 26.5 FPS

Policarpio recorded his sixth double-digit scoring game and his sixth with at least 5 rebounds this conference.

Mike Malonzo ROS PF 10 PTS  | 10 REB | 1 STL | 26.0 FPS

Malonzo led his team on the boards and recorded his second double-digit rebounding game of the tournament. He’s currently averaging 6.1 points and 5.5 rebounds in eight games this conference.

Javee Mocon NLX SF 12 PTS | 8 REB | 3 AST | 25.1 FPS

Mocon recorded his first double-digit scoring game of the conference while also tying his best rebounding and playmaking output.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Robert Lee Bolick NLX SG 12 PTS | 1 REB | 3 AST

Bolick finished with his lowest marks in both rebounds and assists this conference. He also struggled offensively, scoring under 15 points for the fourth time after averaging 31 points in his previous two outings.
