The action in the PFF Women’s League is heating up, let’s check out what went down last May 24 2025.

UST Dislodges UP

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) delivered a commanding response to their earlier Round 1 defeat, cruising to a 3-0 win over fellow collegiate squad University of the Philippines (UP).

Nikah Asilo broke the deadlock just 11 minutes into the game, giving UST early momentum. Teammate Lovely Fernandez later secured the win with two goals — one shortly after halftime in the 51st minute, and another deep into stoppage time in the 95th — a result that pushed UP to the bottom of the league table.

Final Score: UST 3, UP 0

Capital1 Snatches a Win

Meanwhile, Stallion-Laguna saw their winning run snapped in dramatic fashion as Capital1 pulled off a surprise 1-0 victory last Saturday at the MOA Football Pitch.

Stallion dictated the early tempo, but Capital1 coach Let Dimzon’s well-executed defensive game plan kept them in check. Capital1 patiently soaked up the pressure and launched quick counters in search of a breakthrough.

That opportunity came in the 31st minute when Judie Arevalo was brought down inside the box by Stallion’s Jenna Merrill. A penalty was awarded, and Arianna Del Moral calmly slotted home what turned out to be the decisive goal of the match.

Despite Stallion’s repeated attempts to draw level, Capital1’s defense — anchored by Emma Young and Helina Lamptey — held firm until the final whistle.

Final Score: Capital1 1, Stallion-Laguna 0

“We’ve proven that we’re not here just to participate — we’re here to show who we are, both as a team and as individual players.” said by Capital1 Head Coach Let Dimzon in an article released by Tiebreakertimes.

It’s almost past halfway through the Round 2 schedule, every win becomes more important to all 6 competing teams.

The PFF Women’s League resumes on Saturday, May 31, again at the MOA Football Pitch in Pasay. Capital1 aims to ride their momentum into their next clash against UST at 5:00 PM, followed by UP’s final outing of the season versus Kaya at 7:45 PM.
