Fans saw the Farm Fresh Foxies get their 1st win while the PLDT High Speed Hitters stayed unbeaten in the preseason.
Kim Kianna Dy and Jovie Prado Gives PLDT a Strong Connection
PLDT High Speed Hitters kept its momentum as they swept the Petro Gazz Angels for the first game last Saturday.
Petro Gazz showed fight early in the third set, even taking a 6-3 lead, but PLDT quickly regained control. The Angels briefly cut the gap to 14-16, but the trio of Mika Reyes, Jessey De Leon, and Majoy Baron spearheaded a decisive 9-2 run to close the match in just 80 minutes.

Despite still missing star import Savi Davison, the High Speed Hitters showed no signs of slowing down, with Jovie Prado and Kianna Dy stepping up to lead the charge. Prado tallied 12 points and 13 excellent receptions, while Dy added 10 markers in a solid performance.
“Siyempre, pag makakalaban mo ‘yung mga teams like Petro saka ‘yung mga top teams, happy na nakukuha namin ‘yung panalo. So, happy kami na nakapag-perform lahat,” said PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort from a story of Jonash Danug in Tiebreaker Times.
With the victory, PLDT improved to 2-0 and joined Nxled at the top of Pool A standings.

Myla Pablo led Petro Gazz with 16 points in the loss, which dropped them to 1-2 and into a tie for fourth with Choco Mucho.
Foxies Captures 1st Victory Behind the Heroics of Trisha Tabu
For the second game, the Farm Fresh Focies secured its first win of the tournament in a thrilling four-setter against Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
The Foxies withstood a spirited late comeback by the Flying Titans, who erased a four-point deficit in the fourth set to take a 23-22 lead.
However, Farm Fresh responded calmly with Rizza Cruz and Caitlin Viray scoring consecutive points to reach match point. After Jen Villegas tied it briefly, Viray struck again before Trisha Tubu capped the match with a clutch block on Mean Mendrez.

Tubu starred with 22 points and nine digs, while Jolina Dela Cruz added 16 markers and eight receptions. Viray finished with 10 points, and Alohi Robins-Hardy orchestrated the offense with 22 excellent sets. Rookie libero, Ann Monares, also impressed with 15 digs. Despite committing 39 errors, Farm Fresh managed to edge out Choco Mucho, who had 33 miscues.
“What can I say about this group? As I always tell them, a win isn’t definitive—just like a loss. What matters is taking every moment as it is,” said head coach Alessandro Lodi.
“It was a good performance. We’re growing, we’re learning, but we know there’s still a long way to go.” He also praised the energetic crowd in Ilagan, saying:
“The crowd was spectacular. I’ve been to many volleyball games around the world, but I can’t remember a crowd this loud. It doesn’t matter who they’re cheering for—I love seeing passionate fans on both sides. It’s all love for the game.” in a story published in Tiebreaker Times.
The Foxies improved to 1-1, while the Flying Titans slipped to 1-2.

Isa Molde led Choco Mucho with 13 points, and Des Cheng added 10 along with 13 digs and nine receptions. Villegas made a strong impact off the bench, scoring eight points across the last two sets.
