Rebanse NBA Weekly Rankings: Steady Leaders, Surprise Drop Highlight This Week’s Rankings

The 2024–25 NBA season is essentially at the halfway mark, and two teams that have been at the top of the Rebanse NBA Weekly Rankings have stayed there for quite some time now. A third member of the regular top three, though, have shown chinks in the armor and have now dropped a rung lower. 

With that being said, here is the updated Rebanse NBA Weekly Rankings covering the week from January 13 to January 19.

(Note: Standings are up to January 19 only.) 

1.  Oklahoma City Thunder (34-7)

Gave Cavs a beating, so they take the top spot.

2.  Cleveland Cavaliers (35-6)

Still great, but chinks are showing.

3.  Houston Rockets (25-12)

Amen Thompson’s emergence as a two-way force is energizing the Rockets.

4. Boston Celtics (29-13)

Cs in a rough spot as three-point shooting down to 36%.

5.  Indiana Pacers (24-19)

Team effort getting it done for the Pacers.

6.  Memphis Grizzlies (27-15)

Grizz now boast NBA’s most prolific offense at 123.4 PPG

7.  Los Angeles Clippers (23-17)

Two blowouts in the last week highlight Clips’ firepower with Kawhi Leonard back.

8.  Denver Nuggets (25-16)

Nuggets win 79% of their games when Nikola Jokic nets a triple-double. 

9.  Los Angeles Lakers (22-17)

Two close wins after the California wildfires keep the Lakers in a good spot.

10.  Milwaukee Bucks (23-17)

Bucks on a hot streak again.

11.  Sacramento Kings (21-20)

Kings keep lighting The Beam under new coach.

12.  Detroit Pistons (21-21)

Vets like Malik Beasley and Tobias Harris getting things done.

13.  New York Knicks (27-16)

Two wins in a week a cause for celebration for downtrodden franchise.

Young Jazz can’t find silver lining.

Bad year getting worse.
