Alex Eala has once again defeated Arianne Hartono for the 4th time early morning of September 3 as she moves on to the Round of 16 in the Guadalajara Open.

4th Time Still a Charm as Eala Cruises Past Through 2 Sets

The 20-year-old tennis star from the Philippines, Eala, has come out victorious against her familiar opponent, the 29 year old Hartono from the Netherlands, in their last 3 meetings.

Eala, seeded second in the tournament and currently ranked No. 75 in the WTA standings, needed just over an hour to complete the job. She dictated the tempo from the outset, seizing a 3-1 lead in the opening set before closing it out by taking three consecutive games.

FINAL SCORE OF SET 1: 6-2

In the second set, Hartono briefly leveled at 2-all, but Eala shifted gears, winning four straight games to secure the match after one hour and nine minutes on court.
