Farm Fresh finally broke into the win column of the 2026 PVL On Tour after sweeping Nxled, 25-23, 25-13, 25-22, on Saturday at the Mindanao Civic Center in Lanao Del Norte.
The victory improved the Foxies to 1-1 in the preseason tournament after returning to action from a month-long break. Farm Fresh last played on July 11 in Batangas City, where it fell to Galeries Tower in four sets, 17-25, 26-24, 19-25, 24-26.
Farm Fresh will close out its preseason campaign on August 22 against Capital1 at the Victorias City Coliseum in Negros Occidental.
“Today was a fantastic game. We came out strong against Nxled, which majority were my players before. I thought that it would not be an easy game but my team, everyone had a good performance,” said Foxies head coach Koji Tsuzurabara.
The Chameleons mounted a late fightback in the third set after falling behind 18-14. Jovelyn Fernandez and Lyann de Guzman helped Nxled pull level at 22-all, putting the Foxies under pressure.
Farm Fresh, however, answered with one final push.
Ces Molina restored the lead with a down-the-line hit before Fernandez committed an attack error to put the Foxies at match point. Rizza Cruz then sealed the victory with an ace that landed in the middle of the Nxled formation, completing the one-hour, 40-minute sweep.
Molina and Trisha Tubu led Farm Fresh with 16 points apiece, while Royse Tubino added 12 points and seven excellent digs.
Nxled, meanwhile, wrapped up its four-game preseason campaign with a 2-2 record. The Chameleons picked up wins over Galeries Tower and Capital1 while falling to Creamline and Farm Fresh.
Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips led Nxled with eight points each, while Jonah Escamillan contributed seven points, 16 excellent receptions, and five digs.
