The PBA Philippine Cup of Season 50 is officially two weeks in, and each team has played at least two games. That means we now have a bit more clarity on what’s real and what’s not for this tournament. With that being said, it also means we can start ranking the teams based on their performances thus far. But before we do that, check out the team standings as of October 21, 2025:

Now, we present to you Rebanse’s Weekly PBA Power Rankings:
1. TNT Tropang 5G
Puzzling loss to Ginebra notwithstanding, the Tropa have proven they’re more than a handful when they play true to form.
2. Meralco Bolts
Three-game winning streak after an 0-2 start shows resilience and proves the talent is there. Just need to figure out those long stretches of putrid shooting.
3. Magnolia Hotshots
Youth brigade leading the way thus far. Near-win against Meralco in a battle at the trenches proves the Hotshots can adjust their style.
4. Converge FiberXers
Close loss to TNT despite the latter going bonkers from deep is proof that Converge can hang with the elite. That fearsome five will only get better.
5. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel
Ginebra has shown it can stifle opponents for long stretches, as it did against Magnolia. But the Barangay hasn’t shown consistency on the offensive end, where they’re just middle of the pack.

6. Phoenix Fuel Masters
The Fuel Masters acquitted themselves fairly well against the reigning Philippine Cup finalists—losing to TNT but beating San Miguel. Guard play has been solid, but Jason Perkins needs to pick things up.
7. San Miguel Beermen
Championship hangover likely led to an 0-2 start, but the dismantling of Rain or Shine shows the Beermen are back. June Mar Fajardo is still the great equalizer on a team stacked with veteran talent.
8. Blackwater Bossing
Sedrick Barefield’s explosive debut—34 points on a bum shoulder—is cause for optimism, especially with RK Ilagan catching fire and Christian David playing well.
9. Rain or Shine Elasto Painters
Barely got by Meralco, got whooped by San Miguel. Offense just hasn’t been clicking, with the Elasto Painters shooting a ghastly 18.6% (16-for-86) from downtown over two games.

10. Terrafirma Dyip
Dyip playing free with a nothing-to-lose mentality but getting solid contributions everywhere. Jerrick Ahanmisi has been a revelation, and Mark Nonoy is starting to figure things out.
11. NLEX Road Warriors
Jonnel Policarpio has been a pleasant surprise, but the Road Warriors are missing Robert Bolick for sure. His return could open things up for NLEX on offense.
12. Titan Ultra Giant Risers
Calvin Abueva’s dream debut and Joshua Munzon’s scoring notwithstanding, the Giant Risers are a mess on defense. Surrendering 129 and 127 points won’t win them a lot of games.
