The 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference is now down to its final play date after Tuesday’s action at the Ynares Center in Montalban. The triple bill shook up the standings thanks to huge victories by the Cignal Super Spikers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans. League-leader Zus Coffee Thunderbelles, meanwhile, showed why they’re at the top of the standings.
Zus Coffee Sweeps Nxled, Zooms to Top of Standings
The Zus Coffee Thunderbelles took care of business on Tuesday, sweeping the Nxled Chameleons, 25-13, 25-21, 25-21, to notch their seventh win of the tournament as against just one loss.
Anna DeBeer led the way with 16 points, while locals AC Miner, Chinne Arroyo, and Kate Santiago contributed 15, 10, and 9 markers, respectively, as the Thunderbelles outplayed Nxled in every way. The league leader had 49 attack points to the Chameleons’ 36 and held a 6 to 4 advantage in blocks in a dominant showing. With the win, Zus Coffee is now assured of finishing in the top three.
Paolo Martinez had 15 points, while Lyann de Guzman added 10 as the Chameleons closed the tournament winless in eight outings.

Choco Mucho Shocks Akari, Finishes on Strong Note
An inspired Choco Mucho Flying Titans served up a 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21 shocker versus the quarterfinals-bound Akari Chargers to finish what has been a forgettable tournament on a high note.
Veteran spiker Royse Tubino made sure Choco Mucho would go out with a bang, recording a triple-double of 20 points, 11 excellent digs, and 10 receptions. Import Marlee Smith, on the other hand, had herself a fitting farewell, firing 18 points including the match-clinching kill.
Import Annie Minchem tried her best to avert disaster for Akari, finishing with 30 big points. Eli Soyud chipped in 17, but her and Minchem’s efforts weren’t enough to keep the Chargers from losing and sliding to seventh as of press time.

Cignal Stuns Creamline, Sets Up QF Rematch
The Cignal Super Spikers continued their tournament turnaround, beating the Creamline Cool Smashers, 25-18, 20-25, 22-25, 25-16, 15-11, in a match filled with drama, twists and turns, and emphatic playmaking.
In the end, Katrin Trebichavska, Vanie Gandler, Roselyn Doria-Aquino, Jacqueline Acuna, and Gel Cayuna proved too good for the Cool Smashers as they teamed up to tow Cignal to a huge win. Trebichavska finished with 20 points, Gandler added 15, and Doria Aquino and Acuna chipped in 12 and 10, respectively. Cayuna, meanwhile, orchestrated the Super Spikers’ offense masterfully as she notched 28 excellent sets.
Coco Schwan fired 25 points for Creamline, which was looking to get a sixth victory this conference. With Akari losing earlier on Tuesday, the Cool Smashers and the Super Spikers will be on a collision course in the knockout quarterfinals.

Next Up in the PVL Reinforced Conference
The PVL Reinforced Conference will hold the final play date of the preliminary round on Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena. Opening the action will be a tussle between the Capital1 Solar Spikers and Galeries Tower Highrisers. The Farm Fresh Foxies and Chery Tiggo Crossovers face off in the second match, followed by the nightcap pitting the Petro Gazz Angels against the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
