Here are the top performers on February 9 and the stats to highlight their impact.

BEST PLAYER OF THE DAY:

Scottie Barnes TOR PF 25 PTS | 14 REB | 4 BLK | 67.8 FPS (vs. IND)

The two-time All-star has been one of the best all-around players in the league this year.  He was at it again today, recording his 23rd 20-point game alongside his 21st game with 10+ rebounds. He’s also just as impressive in the other columns, ranking 18th in assists, 25th in steals and 5th in blocks.

BREAKOUT:

Trayce Jackson Davis TOR C 10 PTS | 10 REB | 1 BLK | 29.5 FPS (vs. IND)

The former Warriors big man made an immediate impact in his debut, recording 8 offensive rebounds to finish with a solid double-double. With the Raptors shorthanded for the next few games, he should be able to see more chances to deliver again.

SLEEPER:

Jay Huff IND C 15 PTS | 7 REB | 2 BLK | 37.4 FPS (vs. TOR)

Despite the team’s inconsistent rotations, Huff has remained a reliable contributor, averaging 5.3 rebounds and 2.5 stocks over the last six games. He’s also made his presence felt on offense, posting four double-digit scoring performances during that span.

ELITE ASSET:

Jaylen Brown BOS SF 26 PTS | 4 AST | 1 BLK | 38.4 FPS (vs. NYK)

This was Brown’s 15th consecutive game—and his 43rd of the season—scoring at least 20 points. But he was far from effective today, attempting 25 shots while continuing to struggle from deep, going 1-for-11 over his last two. Still, Brown has been incredible this season and should be more efficient moving forward.

CATEGORY SPECIALIST:

Kel’el Ware MIA C 19 PTS | 14 REB | 1 BLK | 40.3 FPS (vs. WAS)

This was the most minutes Ware has played since returning from a hamstring injury. He came up big, posting his 19th game with at least 19 points and his 15th double-double of the season. Despite missing games, he still ranks sixth in the league in rebounds and 20th in blocks.

PLAYER TO WATCH:

Baylor Scheierman BOS SG 10 PTS | 13 REB | 5 AST | 32.1 FPS (vs. NYK)

The sophomore guard was one of the few positives in the loss, finishing with his second double-double in three games. He’s been a consistent part of the rotation lately and has served as an effective glue guy for the team.

STREAMER:

Sandro Mamukelashvili TOR PF 17 PTS | 4 REB | 1 STL | 26.3 FPS (vs. IND)

Sandro could see an increased role if Murray-Boyles misses time after re-aggravating an injury today. Otherwise, he’s still a key piece of the rotation.

FLOPPER:

Jaden McDaniels MIN PF 2 PTS | 2 REB | 1 STL | 5.4 FPS (vs. LAC)

McDaniels has struggled badly in his last two games, totaling just eight points and three rebounds—a complete turnaround after scoring at least 19 points per contest in a recent four-game stretch.
