The battle lines have been drawn, and only four wins now separate either the TNT Tropang 5G or Barangay Ginebra from being crowned champs of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup. Both storied franchises survived grueling six-game matchups in the semifinals against the Meralco Bolts and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, respectively, and we think we are poised to see something similar to that in the Finals.
Welcome to the final edition of our Series Lineup Advice for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Daily Fantasy!
Since it is the championship round, the rules of engagement are at their most intense. We will absolutely consider adding players with OUT tags because, in the Finals, stars will do whatever it takes to play through injury. Make sure to double-check your rosters right before tip-off to stay ahead of any late-breaking news.

Our Tactical Roster Build
As we have done throughout the conference’s playoffs, all imports are must-roster players due to their massive volume and high floor. We are locking in TNT’s newly arrived import Chris McCullough (19.5 Credits) at center and Barangay Ginebra legend Justin Brownlee (19.5 Credits) to man the three spot.
Meanwhile, our starting core will feature an elite backcourt and a crucial budget saver:
- Point Guard: RJ Abarrientos (15.0 Credits) gives us elite playmaking and scoring upside.
- Shooting Guard: Calvin Oftana (12.5 Credits) is one of the premier perimeter weapons in the league.
- Power Forward: Since we only have 33.5 credits remaining to fill out our final three spots, our power forward position goes to the economical and effective Glenn Khobuntin (6.5 Credits).
The FLEX Finishers: The FLEX spots will determine whether this roster succeeds, and we have 27 credits left to secure the perfect trio. We are filling out our eight-man lineup by drafting TNT’s RR Pogoy (12.0 Credits), who will be joined by Barangay Ginebra frontcourt contributors Japeth Aguilar (7.5 Credits) and Ralph Cu (7.5 Credits).
Our Captain Picks: For our leadership multipliers, we are interchanging our powerhouse imports. Chris McCullough will serve as our Captain (2x multiplier) and Justin Brownlee will take the Vice Captain (1.5x multiplier) slot to maximize our point potential.
Our Finals Prediction
Both teams match up incredibly well on paper. Ginebra’s depth should give TNT fits throughout this series, but the arrival of former San Miguel Beermen import and 2019 Commissioner’s Cup champ Chris McCullough to the Tropang 5G as the replacement for Bol Bol should give them more than enough firepower to emerge victorious. Add in the fact that RR Pogoy, Jordan Heading, and Calvin Oftana have been hitting their stride in the playoffs, and we believe that TNT will take the crown in seven games.
Good luck with your Finals picks! Let’s see who takes the first step toward the championship crown.
