Another Filipina tennis bet, Stefi Aludo, will get the opportunity to play internationally after receiving a scholarship from the University of Hawaii  women’s tennis team.

Stefi Aludo Follows Doubles Partner Tenny Madis

As previously reported, Tennielle ‘Tenny’ Madis agreed to play for the Rainbow Wahine ‘Ohana earlier this week.

Now, her doubles partner will be joining her at the University of Hawaii as they gear up for their next chapter of competition in NCAA Division I, this time representing the Big West Conference on the collegiate stage.

The 17-year-old Aludo recently made her WTA debut at the Philippine Women’s Open qualifying round after beating fellow Pinay tennis hitter, Angeline Alcala. However, she failed to advance to the main draw after losing to Japan’s Sakura Hosogi.

The pride of Trento, Agusan del Sur was also part of the Philippine Tennis Team that won a bronze medal at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.

Both Tenny Madis and Stefi Aludo hold eight doubles titles while the former also has seven ITF junior titles.

Chemistry Builds a Winning Tradition

Hawaii is currently deep into its 2026 spring campaign, welcoming opponents to the UH Tennis Complex in Honolulu. Guiding the program is head coach Jun Hernandez, whose leadership has already delivered multiple Big West titles in 2018, 2019, and 2023—an achievement that continues to shape the team’s winning culture.

Hernandez and the rest of the ‘Bows will be looking to keep this winning tradition burning with the addition of Aludo and Madis. The two Filipina bets, meanwhile, will have a chance to hone their tennis skills under the watchful eye of Hernandez and in a program known for winning.

How this development will shape Stefani Aludo and Tenny Madis is a topic for another day. But, at least for now, the opportunity to go international ought to do wonders to their confidence as young players.
