Here are the top performers on March 7 and the stats to highlight their impact.

BEST PLAYER OF THE DAY:

Luka Doncic LAL PG 44 PTS | 9 REB | 7 3PM | 74.3 FPS (vs. IND)

Doncic finished with another outstanding performance, scoring at least 40 points for the 10th time and knocking down at least 5 threes for the 15th time this season. But what’s even more impressive is his defensive production, tallying at least 4 stocks for the eight time this year. This level of excellence has become the benchmark for Doncic as he tries to establish his team as a legitimate force in the postseason.

BREAKOUT:

Tyler Herro MIA SG 33 PTS | 9 REB | 9 AST | 60.3 FPS (vs. CHA)

The star guard was feeling it from the three-point area, knocking down 8-of-10 to record a season-high performance while also coming close to a triple-double. Despite dealing with multiple injuries this year, Herro has remained in top form, averaging 24.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists over his last five games.

SLEEPER:

Brook Lopez LAC C 26 PTS | 6 REB | 4 STL | 46.2 FPS (vs. SAS)

Lopez delivered a vintage performance, providing strong defense while also posting his best scoring game in two months. While it’s unlikely for him to maintain this level of production, he remains the Clippers’ best option at his position and should stay impactful with his ability to contribute in multiple areas.

ELITE ASSET:

Grayson Allen PHX SG 12 PTS | 8 AST | 4 STL | 37.4 FPS (vs. NOP)

Even though he struggled offensively and finished with his lowest scoring game in the last two months, Allen still managed to contribute strongly. Over his last four games, he has averaged nearly 20 points, 7.0 assists, 2.3 steals, and 4.3 triples, showing solid potential as an all-around contributor.

CATEGORY SPECIALIST:

Klay Thompson DAL SG 19 PTS | 5 3PM | 1 AST | 20.5 FPS (vs. BOS)

Thompson has caught fire over his last two games, averaging 21.5 points and 6 threes. He’s undeniably capable of these types of performances, but his inconsistency and limited overall impact remain downsides.

PLAYER TO WATCH:

Amen Thompson HOU SF 26 PTS | 7 REB | 7 AST | 52.9 FPS (vs. POR)

Though his scoring game remains a work in progress, Thompson has been highly effective on offense in his last four games, averaging 21.5 points while also maintaining solid production across the board.

STREAMER:

Oso Ighodaro PHX PF 13 PTS | 6 REB | 1 BLK | 26.7 FPS (vs. NOP)

The big man has made a solid impact over his last four games, averaging 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.3 blocks. With Williams sidelined for the next few weeks, he should continue producing at a similar level.

FLOPPER:

Benedict Mathurin LAC SF 8 PTS | 3 REB | 1 BLK | 16.1 FPS (vs. SAS)

It was another ineffective outing for Mathurin, who shot just 3-for-12 from the field and scored fewer than 10 points for the second time in his last four games. He’s had a few of these games this season but has always managed to regain his rhythm.
