On Friday, Daily Fantasy sent John Patrick De Torres and John Fermo to Libis, Eastwood, in Quezon City to witness firsthand the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in practice. Not only that, they were welcomed and entertained by no less than PBA legend, Gilas Pilipinas icon, and Daily Fantasy ambassador Gabe Norwood.
One of the PBA’s greatest ever, Norwood graciously walked De Torres and Fermo through Rain or Shine’s training session and even introduced them to the players and coaching staff—including the inimitable Yeng Guiao. He also invited the two to shoot hoops, even rebounding for them and encouraging them to enjoy their time in the facility.
Daily Fantasy Honor Players Are Up for Special Treats
De Torres and Fermo are two of Daily Fantasy’s Honor Players. Each month, Daily Fantasy chooses two such players—one who scored the highest single-team fantasy points for the month and one who has the highest cumulative fantasy points for the month.
As a reward, Daily Fantasy sets up events or gives prizes to these Honor Players, and this time, De Torres and Fermo were given the amazing opportunity to catch up with Norwood and witness Rain or Shine doing their thing in training. De Torres and Fermo also got free lunch courtesy of Daily Fantasy.
Last year, another pair of Honor Players were rewarded with a meet-and-greet with NBA legend Gary Payton during his Manila visit. The two winners also received throwback Payton jerseys.

What’s more, De Torres is one of three winners of a brand-new iPhone 17 just by playing Daily Fantasy regularly. De Torres won his prize after scoring the most fantasy points in paid basketball coin contests covering a specific period. One more Daily Fantasy player is set to win an iPhone 17 for the timeframe spanning February 28 to March 13.
