Here are the players who made the biggest impact on April 7 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Bol Manute Bol TNT C 28 PTS | 12 REB | 4 BLK | 52.4 FPS

The former NBA big man wasn’t at the same level compared to his previous three outings, posting conference lows in both points and rebounds. He particularly struggled at the line, shooting just 9-for-16. It was later revealed that he had been dealing with a bad stomach for several days. Despite that, Bol still managed to deliver the best performance of the night.

Clinton Daniel Chapman MAG C 28 PTS  | 11 REB | 2 BLK | 49.7 FPS

Chapman has racked up the points in his first two games of the conference, averaging 33.5 points by doing most of his damage in the interior. With his caliber, he should continue to be a consistent double-double force in the conference. In his last stint in the DLBL, he showcased his prowess, averaging 17.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

Marvin Jones MER C 29 PTS | 12 REB | 2 AST | 46.4 FPS

Jones came through on the offensive end, matching his conference-high in points and leading all players in scoring. This marked his third game this conference, posting at least 20 points and also his third consecutive game with double-digit rebounds.

Jerrick Vincent Ahanmisi TER SG 21 PTS  | 4 REB | 4 AST | 31.8 FPS

From the two-point range, Ahanmisi was flawless, converting all five of his attempts, but it was the complete opposite from distance, where he hit just 2-of-17 from the three- and four-point lines. Despite that, he still managed to deliver a solid point total and continues to be the best scorer in the league, averaging 23.2 points through five games.

Crispin John Cansino MER SF 19 PTS | 4 REB | 4 AST | 30.8 FPS

The former UP Fighting Maroon led the way again for the Bolts, finishing with at least 19 points for the third time this conference. He reached that mark eight times in the Philippine Cup. Cansino has emerged as one of the team’s top scoring options in recent tournaments and should only keep getting better.

Jordan Timothy Heading TNT SG 21 PTS  | 3 REB | 4 AST | 29.6 FPS

Limited to just four points against San Miguel, the sharpshooting guard got back on track today, delivering his first 20-point outing of the conference. He was perfect from three, hitting 4-for-4, and was just as excellent at the line, converting 7-of-7. Last conference, he really made his mark on the scoring end, averaging 15.0 points across 20 games.

Rome Adler Dela Rosa MAG SF 11 PTS  | 6 REB | 2 STL | 27.2 FPS

The wing has become a vital piece of the team, and he showcased that again today by contributing on both ends. Earlier in the conference, he also delivered a strong performance, going 4-for-5 from three and scoring 17 points against NLEX. In the Philippine Cup, he had four games scoring in double figures.

Paul John Lee MAG SG 8 PTS | 3 AST | 4 STL | 27.1 FPS

This was Lee’s highest scoring output of the conference and his second consecutive game hitting that mark. While limited minutes hurt his production early on, he clearly reminded everyone of his caliber with this performance.

Maverick Ahanmisi TER SG 11 PTS | 8 REB | 4 AST | 24.6 FPS

Offense has been a major issue for Maverick in this conference, averaging just 8.2 points in five games. But he continues to make up for it in other areas, putting up 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Chris Newsome MER SG 7 PTS | 3 AST | 1 STL | 15.9 FPS

Newsome recently took over on the scoring end, dropping 29 points on 64% shooting in their loss to Rain or Shine. However, he couldn’t maintain that momentum in his last two games, averaging just 7.5 points. While he can be prone to these types of performances, he is equally capable of bouncing back with stronger games.
