Bouncing back from a major Day 2 setback, the SIBOL Mobile Legends: Bang Bang national team dominated Day 3 of the qualifiers on June 20, capturing three straight wins to lock in their spot for the 2026 Asian Games.

SIBOL launched their campaign with a dominant 2-0 sweep of Myanmar. Despite falling behind in the early minutes of Game 1, the Filipinos rallied in spectacular fashion, using a five-man wipeout at the 14-minute mark to fuel a comeback win. Vinuya was a steady force throughout the game, claiming the MVP with a brilliant 1/1/8 KDA on Arlott.

The same thing happened in Game 2. Myanmar got off to a strong start, taking a 7-3 lead in the kill score. However, SIBOL once again weathered the storm before systematically dismantling their opponents in the mid-to-late game. The Nationals nearly held Myanmar scoreless for the rest of the game, closing out the series with a 16-8 score. Dela Cruz was the star of Game 2, delivering a flawless performance on Atlas.

SIBOL Overcomes Vietnam

For their second assignment of the day, SIBOL immediately moved on to face Vietnam. Game 1 was an intense, back-and-forth battle, with both squads trading heavy blows early on. But SIBOL seized control in the mid game and methodically dictated the pace to secure the opening win. Pabico led the attack, putting up a masterclass performance with a 2/1/6 KDA on Yve.

Game 2, however, was controlled by Vietnam. They got off to an explosive start, building a 5-0 kill lead within the first five minutes and snowballing that advantage into the mid game. But SIBOL stood strong, successfully defending their base at the 14-minute mark and taking down key targets to get back into the game. Unfortunately, they couldn’t maintain that momentum. In the final Lord clash, Vietnam managed to pick off Viana, allowing them to secure the ensuing team fight and tie the series at 1-1.

Even so, SIBOL rose to the occasion when it mattered most. They took control of Game 3 from the opening minutes and never looked back, closing out the match to clinch the series. Nepomuceno spearheaded the victory with a standout 3/1/11 KDA performance on Fredrinn.

SIBOL Crushes Indonesia for Qualification

However, their most significant victory came against regional powerhouse Indonesia. SIBOL asserted their dominance over their longtime rivals with a flawless 2-0 sweep. The Filipinos dictated the early game in the opening match and maintained their lead throughout. Despite some fightback from Indonesia, SIBOL’s lead was never truly threatened. Dela Cruz spearheaded the Philippine offense, securing MVP honors with a stellar performance on Chou.

The Indonesians, however, punched back in Game 2, with Gold-laner Dingarai and Exp-laner Syauki giving SIBOL plenty of trouble. Even so, the Nationals powered through, taking a hard-fought victory to secure the series. Viana stepped up in the crucial moment, silencing his doubters with an exceptional 7/1/9 performance on Claude.

Revenge and Redemption

With the victory, the Philippines not only climbed to the top of their bracket with a 5-1 record to secure their spot in the 2026 Asian Games, but they also finally exacted revenge for their M7 heartbreak. The SIBOL MLBB squad—largely composed of the Team Liquid Philippines core—had previously been eliminated in the M7 lower bracket semifinals by Alter Ego, the very same lineup Indonesia bannered for this tournament before going on to finish as the world tournament’s runner-up.
