PVL fans in Isabela will just have to wait a bit longer to see their favorite stars in action because safety always comes first.
The PVL has canceled its scheduled 2026 PVL On Tour doubleheader in Santiago City this Saturday, August 8, due to the effects of Tropical Depression Maymay (Kujira).
In a statement, the league said the decision was made to prioritize the safety of fans, athletes, team personnel, officials, and everyone involved in the event.
The canceled PVL On Tour playdate at the Santiago Sports Arena was set to feature two matches: ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles vs. PLDT High Speed Hitters, and Capital1 Solar Spikers vs. Creamline Cool Smashers.
PVL On Tour Ticket Refunds
The PVL also announced that all tickets purchased for the canceled matches will be refunded, with details of the refund process to be released through TicketMax’s official channels.
Despite the cancellation, the league assured fans in Isabela that it remains committed to bringing professional volleyball to Santiago City, with plans to return during the upcoming PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Santiago City stop was one of several provincial legs of the 2026 PVL On Tour, the league’s preseason tournament that brings PVL action to volleyball fans across the country.
