Here are the players who made the biggest impact on August 11 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Robert Lee Bolick NLX PG 27 PTS | 8 AST | 2 STL | 56.0 FPS

Simply put, Bolick was incredible against TNT. He came out firing early, dropping 15 first-half points. Though he never found his rhythm from deep, missing all four of his attempts, he more than made up for it by hitting two four-pointers that forced the game into overtime. He was just as impressive in other areas, turning in a complete stat line that included leading all players in assists.

Justin Anthony Strings TER PF 28 PTS | 11 REB | 2 STL | 53.2 FPS

Strings was his usual dominant self today. Though he struggled early, he was able to turn it around in the second half, scoring 19 to lead all scorers. He currently ranks third among the top scorers in the league, posting 30.3 points per outing.

Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson TNT PF 30 PTS | 13 REB | 1 BLK | 52.6 FPS

The TNT import is steadily getting his offensive groove back. He came out strong early, posting 18 points and 7 rebounds in the first half, and finished strong with a conference-high performance on nearly 60% shooting from the field while also recording his fourth consecutive 10-rebound output.

Cameron Clark CON PG 22 PTS | 5 REB | 3 STL | 42.5 FPS

The returning PBA import was instrumental in their win against Terrafirma. Offensively, he shot efficiently from all levels and also came through when it mattered, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win. He was equally impressive on the other end, filling out his stat line with elite defensive numbers.

Shaun Geoffrey Chiu TER C 16 PTS | 11 REB | 4 BLK | 40.2 FPS

The Terrafirma center put up a superb performance against Converge. Offensively, he gave the team a strong lift early, scoring 8 points in the first quarter before finishing with his second-best scoring game of the conference. He was just as impressive in other areas, grabbing six offensive rebounds for his fourth double-double in five games while also providing solid defense.

Louelljay Gonzales NLX PG 26 PTS | 6 REB | 1 STL | 38.2 FPS

The rookie guard came up huge for NLEX. Though he was quiet in the opening half, he came alive when they needed him, scoring 16 points in the third and the fourth quarters and adding six more in OT to lead the team to the win while also recording a career-high performance.

Justin Arana CON C 20 PTS | 12 REB | 1 BLK | 37.9 FPS

The Converge big man turned in another superb performance, finishing as the team’s top local scorer while also leading all players in rebounding. Though his numbers have declined this month, he continues to be a reliable offensive presence, putting up 17.3 points while shooting 20-for-40 from two over his last three games.

Calvin Abueva CON PF 17 PTS | 11 REB | 1 BLK | 37.7 FPS

This was a vintage performance from the veteran forward. On the boards, he impressed yet again by posting his third consecutive double-digit rebounding game. But he stood out even more on the scoring end, going 5-of-6 from two-point range and adding a three-pointer to lead the team to the win.

Rey Benedict Nambatac TNT PG 28 PTS | 5 REB | 3 AST | 36.5 FPS

Though he had an impressive start this conference, the TNT guard has noticeably slowed down in their last three games. That offensive struggle carried over today, as he shot just 1-for-7 from two-point area. But he completely turned things around from deep, knocking down five threes and a four-pointer to finish with one of his best scoring performances.

Roger Ray Pogoy TNT SF 15 PTS | 6 AST | 3 STL | 36.2 FPS

The veteran guard provided a strong two-way spark against NLEX. Offensively, he finally got some of his rhythm back, going 6-for-10 from two to finish with his best scoring game of the month. He was just as excellent on the defensive end, leading the team in stocks while also averaging 2.4 steals in his last five games.

Juan Miguel Tiongson TER PG 21 PTS | 3 AST | 3 STL | 34.9 FPS

Once again, Tiongson showed up big time, shooting efficiently from two-point range and knocking down three triples to finish as the game’s leading local scorer. Over their last five games, he’s averaged 21.4 points and 4.0 three-pointers per outing.

Jordan Timothy Heading TNT SG 17 PTS | 7 AST | 1 STL | 28.9 FPS

Despite some struggles, Heading still made a major impact offensively. Though he had a really difficult time finding his rhythm, shooting just 1-for-6 from deep and also leading the team in turnovers, he made up for it by converting 4-for-6 from two-point area while also posting a conference-high mark in assists.

Deschon Winston NLX SG 11 PTS | 7 REB | 4 AST | 25.4 FPS

This was the third consecutive subpar performance from the NLEX guard. In that span, he’s looked unusually passive on offense, averaging just 12.0 points on 9.3 attempts per game. Still, he’s finding ways to help the team, making a positive impact in playmaking today while posting a conference-high in rebounds.

Frederick Tungcab CON SF 13 PTS | 3 REB | 1 AST | 17.1 FPS

The forward came through in a major way against Terrafirma. He spearheaded their attack in the first quarter, knocking down three triples and later added a four-pointer to finish with a conference-high performance and also his best game with Converge.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Alec June Stockton CON SG 2 PTS | 3 AST | 3 STL | 13.5 FPS

This was the third time in four games that the Converge guard had scored just two points. His struggles were particularly evident today as he finished 1-of-9 from the field and went scoreless from deep on five attempts. Last conference, he was among the team’s top scorers, averaging 13.5 points over 12 games.
