Here are players who made the biggest impact on October 9 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Jordan Bernard Murphy GIN PF 30 PTS | 13 REB | 7 AST | 71.1 FPS

The new Kings’ import put on a show in his debut, finishing with a dominant all-around performance. He set the tone early with 16 first-half points and never slowed down, shooting efficiently from all over the floor to finish as one of the game’s top scorers. He also made a big mark on both playmaking and defense, all without committing a single turnover.

Rhon Jay Abarrientos GIN PG 34 PTS | 9 AST | 3 STL | 54.5 FPS

The Kings’ guard delivered a masterclass against Rain or Shine, finishing with game-highs in both points and assists. He caught fire early, dropping 20 points in the first half and kept going, setting a new conference-high in scoring. Though he couldn’t get anything going inside the arc, he was lethal from the outside, sinking six three-pointers and three four-pointers.

Kentrell Debarus Barkley BWB SF 20 PTS | 13 REB | 8 AST | 47.6 FPS

The Blackwater import struggled with his outside shot against Magnolia and finished with his lowest scoring game of the tournament. Still, he had a strong overall performance, posting his seventh-straight double-digit rebounding game while leading all players in assists.

KJ Buffen MAG SF 24 PTS | 20 REB | 1 BLK | 46.5 FPS

The only problem for Buffen was his turnovers but his overall production more than made up for it. He led all players in both scoring and rebounding while also delivering nine points in the fourth quarter to help his team stay in the lead. Through seven games, Buffen has established himself as a consistent offensive threat, putting up at least 20 points in every outing.

Aaron Fuller ROS SF 23 PTS | 13 REB | 4 AST | 35.6 FPS

Once again, Fuller dominated in the paint, going 9-for-16 from two while also grabbing nine offensive rebounds. This was his sixth 20-point game of the tournament and his seventh-straight double-digit rebound performance. Despite all of that, he had a really rough game, shooting just 5-for-12 from the line and committing nine turnovers.

Jerom Lastimosa MAG PG 24 PTS | 3 REB | 7 AST | 34.1 FPS

This was a brilliant offensive showing for the Magnolia guard. He was firing from everywhere on the court, hitting 7-of-11 from two and knocking down two three-pointers to finish with a team-high in scoring. He was equally impressive in playmaking, setting a new conference-high in assists.

Sedrick Barefield BWB SG 24 PTS | 4 REB | 2 STL | 33.8 FPS

Offensively, it wasn’t the best performance for the Blackwater guard. He struggled with his shot, converting just 6-of-18 from the field. But he came through when they needed him the most, scoring 10 points in the fourth to help his team get back into the game. He finished with a team-high in points and his fourth 20-point game of the tournament.

Earl Scottie Thompson GIN SF 6 PTS | 8 REB | 5 STL | 32.1 FPS

This is what Thompson does best, contributing quality numbers across the board. He stood out the most on the defensive end, finishing third in the game in rebounding while leading all players in steals.

Zavier Lucero MAG SF 17 PTS | 3 REB | 2 BLK | 28.1 FPS

On the whole, this was a modest performance for the star forward. But he still got the job done offensively, finishing as one of the team’s top scorers. Through seven games this conference, he’s been steady in scoring, averaging 14.7 points while shooting 45% from two and 78% from the free-throw line.

Joshua Andrei Caracut ROS PG 12 PTS | 3 REB | 4 AST | 24.6 FPS

The sharpshooting guard was part of the starting lineup for today’s game though he played under 20 minutes. Still, he had a very productive performance, hitting a perfect 3-for-3 from two with two three-pointers to set a new conference-best in scoring.

Vince Petdeo Cuajao ROS SG 19 PTS | 2 REB | 2 AST | 24.4 FPS

The rookie gave Rain or Shine a much-needed offensive spark off the bench. He got off to a solid start, recording 13 first half points and finished strong, hitting 3-for-6 from deep to match his best scoring game of the conference.

Regile Kent Ilagan BWB PG 13 PTS | 3 AST | 2 STL | 23.5 FPS

It was a relatively quiet outing for the veteran guard, who struggled to find his touch from both two-point and three-point range, shooting just 1-for-6. Still, he remained productive, converting two four-pointers. Despite that, he has been impressive for most of the conference and should be able to have much better games moving forward.

Michael John Malonzo ROS PF 14 PTS | 4 REB | 1 STL | 21.8 FPS

Malonzo stepped up in the starting lineup today and he made the most of it, making his presence felt in multiple ways. He was particularly impressive offensively, however, converting 3-of-5 from two and hitting two threes to set a new conference-high in scoring.

Stephen Jeffrey Holt GIN SG 14 PTS | 4 REB | 1 STL | 21.3 FPS

Holt provided a major offensive boost for the Kings against Rain or Shine, knocking down 4-of-6 from the three-point area in the first half. He finished with his fourth double-digit scoring game of the conference.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Adrian Clarence Nocum ROS SG 15 PTS | 5 REB | 1 STL | 22.2 FPS

The star guard had a difficult time today against the Kings, turning in one of his least productive performances of the conference. He failed to find his rhythm offensively, shooting just 6-for-14 from the field while recording a conference-low in assists alongside five turnovers.
