Capital1 Takes Back-and-Forth Decider
After Capital1 failed to close out the match in the fourth set, Akari took control late in the fifth. Down 11-13, the Chargers went on a 3-0 run behind Fifi Sharma and Grethcel Soltones to take a 14-13 lead. Bella Belen tied it at 14-14 with a hit off the block.
The Solar Spikers then saved six match points to draw level at 18-18. Erika Santos broke the tie with a kill down the line, and Belen scored the last two points to end the match.
“First of all, I’m happy because they’re showing the fight; they’re showing the fire that we had been building since we started in Capital1. But since we have more members, really good ones that we added to our team, I’m really happy (especially coming) off our last match,” said Capital1 head coach Jorge Souza de Brito.
Belen’s Career Night
Belen finished with a career-high 35 points on 34 attacks and 1 block. She also had 20 excellent digs and 19 excellent receptions. Santos, Cherry Nunag, and Vanie Gandler added 10 points apiece.

For the Chargers, Sharma scored 20 points on 18 attacks and 2 blocks. Ivy Lacsina added 19 points, 26 excellent receptions, and 9 excellent digs, while Eli Soyud chipped in 17 points.
