Here are the players who made the biggest impact on October 18 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Earl Scottie Thompson GIN SF 29 PTS | 10 REB | 6 AST | 64.0 FPS

Thompson delivered a massive performance for Ginebra against Phoenix. He got off to a strong start, scoring nine quick points while contributing across the board in the first quarter. He kept rolling the rest of the way, finishing as the game’s leading scorer while putting up impressive numbers in the secondary categories.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson TNT PF 33 PTS | 11 REB | 4 AST | 52.2 FPS

RHJ was in attack mode from the opening tip against Converge, erupting for 14 points in the first quarter before cruising to an efficient 30-point finish. The returning import continues to look sharp offensively, which is a big positive for TNT heading into the playoffs.

Jordan Bernard Murphy GIN PF 28 PTS | 13 REB | 1 BLK | 48.6 FPS

Murphy returned to form in a big way against Phoenix, putting together a dominant double-double performance. He was a force on the boards, posting a game-high seven offensive rebounds. He also caught fire offensively, scoring 20 points in the first half before finishing as the game’s second-leading scorer.

Cameron Clark CON PF 27 PTS | 7 REB | 6 AST | 42.4 FPS

The Converge import showed a different side to his game today, putting up a well-rounded performance. Offensively, he continues to impress, scoring nine points in the fourth quarter to finish as second leading scorer of the game.

Justine Baltazar CON PF 19 PTS | 12 REB | 2 BLK | 41.4 FPS

Baltazar once again delivered for Converge, posting his sixth double-double of the conference. He was highly effective on two-pointers, hitting 8-of-10 attempts.

Jonnel Policarpio CON PF 10 PTS | 7 AST | 4 STL | 38.5 FPS

For most of the conference, the forward has made minimal impact. Today, however, he was moved into the starting line up and took full advantage, providing solid value in multiple categories. This production will definitely be crucial for Converge if he manages to maintain it.

Jordan Timothy Heading TNT SG 21 PTS | 3 AST | 2 STL | 35.1 FPS

Heading was TNT’s leading local scorer against Converge. He came out firing early, knocking down three three-pointers in the opening quarter before finishing with his fourth 20-point outing of the conference.

Juan Gerardo Gomez De Liaño CON PG 22 PTS | 3 REB | 8 AST | 34.6 FPS

Juan GDL was instrumental in Converge’s win over TNT today. Offensively, he was outstanding, leading all locals in both points and assists. He was also highly effective, shooting at 61.5% from the field while also going 3-for-4 from the four-point area.

Japeth Paul Aguilar GIN C 12 PTS | 10 REB | 2 BLK | 30.5 FPS

This was a vintage performance for the veteran big man. After struggling to make an impact since the break, Aguilar turned back the clock today, posting conference-highs in both scoring and rebounding.

Alec June Stockton CON SG 19 PTS | 3 REB | 3 AST | 29.1 FPS

Stockton came through when the team needed him the most, scoring 12 points in the fourth quarter and OT to lead Converge to the comeback win. He was also incredible from long range today, knocking down 4-of-5 threes to set a new conference-high in scoring.

Jeremiah Gray GIN SG 12 PTS | 2 AST | 2 STL | 26.4 FPS

Gray provided a solid scoring boost for Ginebra today, setting a new campaign-high. Though he has been an important piece of the rotation this conference, he has struggled to make a consistent impact on the offensive end.

Rhon Jay Abarrientos GIN PG 7 PTS | 5 AST | 3 STL | 26.1 FPS

The sophomore guard made his presence felt in multiple ways. Offensively, however, his struggles are hard to ignore. He finished with a subpar performance for the second straight game, shooting just 3-for-13 from the field.

Roger Ray Pogoy TNT SF 12 PTS | 3 STL | 1 BLK | 26.1 FPS

Pogoy had a productive two-way performance against Converge, leading all players in defensive stats while posting his fourth double-digit scoring game. He struggled mightily on offense, however, shooting 0-for-6 from three while committing three turnovers.

Stephen Jeffrey Holt GIN SG 3 PTS | 8 REB | 2 AST | 15.6 FPS

Holt was productive on the boards today, grabbing four offensive rebounds and setting a new conference high. Offensively, however, he was almost a non-factor, finishing without a field goal. In two games against Phoenix this conference, Holt has struggled mightily, averaging just 1.5 points.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Justin Arana CON C 4 PTS | 6 REB | 1 BLK | 11.2 FPS

Through 11 games this conference, the Converge big man has been a force offensively, averaging 20.3 points on an impressive 62.7% shooting from two-point range. TNT has proven to be a different story, though, holding him to just 11 points in their last game before limiting him to a conference-low today.
