The Akari Chargers came back to beat the Farm Fresh Foxies, 25-22, 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12, on Tuesday in the 2026–27 PVL All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
Down two sets to one, Akari led 23-21 late in the fourth when Eli Soyud scored the Chargers’ last two points to force a fifth set.
The decider was tied at 11-11 after Trisha Tubu’s crosscourt kill, her fifth point of the set. Akari then pulled away.
A Ces Molina service error put the Chargers back in front, and Mars Alba converted a broken play to make it 13-11. Fifi Sharma then blocked Royse Tubino for match point at 14-11. Soyud served into the net on the next rally, but she made up for it with a crosscourt kill that ended the match.
“‘Yung character kasi ng bawat isa nandoon eh. Kailangan lang mailabas. Ngayon siguro nagkaroon lang kami ng magandang connection sa bawat isa kaya ‘yung gustong mangyari, nai-translate sa puntos,” said assistant coach Eddison Orcullo, who took the helm as head coach Tina Salak was still away.
Soyud finished with 30 points. Ivy Lacsina added 21 points and 17 excellent receptions, while Sharma had 11 points on 7 attacks, 3 blocks, and 1 ace.
Alba distributed 22 excellent sets, and team captain Justine Jazareno anchored the floor defense with 23 excellent digs.
For the Foxies, Tubu led with 25 points, while Tubino and Mylene Paat-Rezanova added 14 and 12, respectively.
