Playing at the same time, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Portland Trail Blazers while the Golden State Warriors hosted the visiting Philadelphia 76erd on January 3. But, what looked like a regular season game turned into an all-time historic performance for LeBron James and Steph Curry.

LeBron Goes Ballistic Against the Blazers

Without Anthony Davis on the floor, LeBron took matters into his own hands and carried LA past Portland. The King, who had just turned 40 years old last December 30, finished with a game-high 38 points, including seven triples on 70% 3-pt shooting.

Everyone was left in awe after seeing LBJ at his age dominating 20-year-olds even without his best teammate. We also have to give props to Max Christie who stepped up to the plate and gathered 28 points for the win.

Curry Sets Another Record

After a rough December, Steph Curry and the Warriors completely annihilated the Sixers who were playing back-to-back road games. Joel Embiid is playing, but nobody could stop Curry that night. The 36-year-old who is dubbed as the Greatest Shooter of All Time, made 30 points on 8-for-8 triples.

Curry joins Steve Smith, Latrell Sprewell, Ben Gordon, Taurean Prince, Jalen Brunson, and Jeff Hornacek as the only player to ever record 30 points and a perfect eight three-point shots made. He’s also the oldest player to do so at 36.

Both legendary superstars played like they were 25 although they’re already past their prime years. However, they showed everyone just how much of an impact they can still produce even at their age.
