The Golden State Warriors (28-27) blew a 24-point advantage but stepped up in the clutch and fended off the shorthanded Houston Rockets (34-21) with a 105-98 victory on February 14.

Golden State Warriors Top Performers:

Brandin Podziemski 18 PTS | 4 AST | 4 STL | 44.0 FPS

Podziemski hasn’t shot the ball well lately, but he made up for it with his expanding all-around game and a strong defensive effort, consistently piling up steals.

Stephen Curry 27 PTS | 5 REB | 3 AST | 36.5 FPS

Curry has been on a roll this month, posting three 20-point games and four 30-point outings. His ability to find his way to the line more often lately and his more consistent three-point shooting have been game-changers, all while maintaining his solid all-around performance.

Draymond Green 13 PTS | 8 AST | 2 STL | 34.8 FPS

Green has stepped up offensively in his last two games while also continuing his well-rounded game. However, his impact is significantly bigger on the defensive end, averaging 4 stocks in his last five games.

Jimmy Butler 19 PTS | 8 REB | 4 AST | 34.6 FPS

Butler has already been a consistent contributor for the Warriors, recording around 20 points with good percentages, exceptional numbers at the line, and consistent all-around play in four-straight games. He’ll only get better as he settled with the team after the break. He’ll only get better as he settles into the team after the break.

Moses Moody 10 PTS | 6 REB | 2 BLK | 30.7 FPS

Moody has been a dependable scorer this month despite some struggles from three and at the line. He has also delivered strong defensive numbers in his last three games.

Houston Rockets Top Performers:

Aaron Holiday 25 PTS | 8 REB | 4 AST | 42.6 FPS

Holiday has seen a bump in minutes in his last two games, but he’s unlikely to see more playing time with VanVleet returning after the break.

Alperen Sengun 10 PTS | 13 REB | 4 AST | 31.6 FPS

Sengun showed no ill effects from his back problem, playing and notching a double-double in back-to-back games. His offensive consistency remains a work in progress, but his reliable all-around play more than compensates.

Jock Landale 13 PTS | 8 REB | 1 STL | 27.1 FPS

Landale has been in and out of the rotation this week but has provided double figures in scoring and solid rebounds in three games. However, he’s unlikely to see enough playing time with the team returning to full strength after the break.

Amen Thompson 4 PTS | 5 AST | 2 BLK | 23.3 FPS

Thompson’s scoring has been volatile in recent games, but his rebounding, defensive contributions, and emerging playmaking skills have more than made up for it. He’s been on a tear in recent weeks, but his production is something to keep an eye on when the team gets healthier after the break.

Cam Whitmore 6 PTS | 1 AST | 1 STL | 11.7 FPS

Whitmore has seen a consistent role off the bench as a scorer, but he’s been in a slump after scoring in double figures in four of his last five games.

Biggest Disappointment of the Game:

Jalen Green 9 PTS | 1 AST | 4 TO

Green has recorded double figures in points in 25 straight games but was contained today by the Warriors’ defense. He’s been shooting below 40% in three-consecutive games with an equally poor performance at the free-throw line.
