Just how deep can this Boston Celtics team become? They’re without Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis yet they were still able to thrash the Portland Trailblazers in a landslide victory – with their bench getting most of the playing time.

Tatum’s All-NBA Performance Overshadowed by Fan Favorites’ Exceptional Outing

Jayson Tatum has pushed the Celtics to become the best, and obviously, he’s getting another All-NBA nod soon. The 27-year-old superstar was just a rebound and an assist shy away from recording another triple-double. JT, in 37 minutes, put up 30 points, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds.

However, Tatum stuffing the stat sheet wasn’t technically the highlight of the Celtics-Blazers matchup.

With their key players sidelined, reserves Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard take on the starting spots for the team. Hauser did not disappoint, and made it rain from deep after sinking 8 of his 10 attempts from three-point land.

Pritchard, on the other hand, had a productive game with 16 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. Luke Kornet, the beloved big man also chipped in with a fantastic 13 points off the bench.

Fans couldn’t believe how fun it was to watch the Celtics and Blazers going at it for 48 minutes. Although the C’s needed this win, the Trailblazers also want this one so bad. After the loss, they drop to the 12th spot, but are just a couple of games behind the Suns, just so they could become a Play-In team.

Even at Their Worst, the Celtics Still Look Like Contenders

It might be a bit of a stretch, but the Boston Celtics really have a great chance of winning the chip once again.

Even with three of their key players gone, Tatum and co. still looked like they could beat any team in the East. They’ve won their fifth-straight already and they may not lose again for the remainder of the season.
