Eli Soyud scored 30 points in the Akari Chargers’ win over the Farm Fresh on Tuesday, and she didn’t know it until after the match.

‘Yun ang main goal,” said Soyud after the Chargers came back to win, 25-22, 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12, in the continuation of the 2026–27 PVL All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Soyud Is Coming Along Nicely

The 5-foot-10 opposite scored 30 points on 27 attacks, 2 blocks, and 1 ace. The 30-year-old veteran credited Akari’s coaches, who keep telling her to swing hard even when some of her attacks miss.

It was the second straight game in which she led the Chargers in scoring, following her 12 points in their sweep of the PLDT High Speed Hitters.

Chargers Rebuild on the Fly

Akari lost its first two games to the Creamline Cool Smashers and Capital1 Solar Spikers. Soyud said the team rebuilt itself in practice, focusing on how it prepares and how it carries out its game plan.

“Mahirap bumangon ‘pag sunod-sunod ‘yung talo, so talagang tiyatiyagain namin, especially sa training.

Akari will next face the Galeries Tower Highrisers on Tuesday, November 3, at 1:00 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
