The Farm Fresh Foxies stayed on track after a slow start to the conference, sweeping the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-14, 25-18, 25-18, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil Centre on Saturday, February 21.
After dropping their first two games, the Foxies have now strung together back-to-back victories, and this latest one came with authority. Once Farm Fresh settled into a rhythm, there was little resistance from the Thunderbelles.
Farm Fresh Shows Discipline in Nearly Flawless Sweep
Jolina Dela Cruz paced the charge, while Trisha Tubu, Mylene Paat, and Ces Molina capitalized on ZUS Coffee’s error-prone outing. The Foxies displayed discipline throughout the match, committing just 6 errors compared to the Thunderbelles’ 18, a decisive margin in a straight-sets contest.
“I have a request to the players. They need to have a more stoic play. Change their mind, change their character. If they can’t change their mind, it’s impossible to be in the top four. I don’t know about the next game, but today was good,” said head coach Koji Tsuzurabara.
Tubu led Farm Fresh with 16 points built on 14 attacks, 1 block, and 1 ace. Dela Cruz followed with 13 points on 10 attacks, 2 aces, and 1 block. Paat and Molina added 7 points each in a balanced supporting effort.
For ZUS Coffee, Riza Nogales was the lone double-digit scorer with 11 points on 6 attacks, 3 blocks, and 2 aces. Fiola Ceballos chipped in 9 points, while Kate Santiago finished with 8 markers.
