Filipino MMA star Stephen Loman will restart his journey under the BRAVE CF banner when he takes on Lasha Abramishvili at BRAVE CF 108 on September 5 inside the Pula Arena in Croatia.
The Sniper was among the promotion’s pillars when he competed in its very first event back in September 2016, where he earned a unanimous decision win over Frans Mlambo.
This kickstarted his legendary 6-0 run, which featured winning the inaugural BRAVE CF bantamweight world championship with a first-round TKO of Gurdarshan Mangat and four straight defenses of the crown. Soon after thwarting Louie Sanoudakis’ November 2019 attempt at dethroning him, Loman vacated the throne and signed with ONE Championship.
There he posted a 3-1 slate, featuring three consecutive wins before former ONE bantamweight MMA king John Lineker handed him his first loss in seven years.
Loman officially returned to BRAVE CF in December 2025.
Abramishvili Out to Spoil Loman’s BRAVE Homecoming
While his return is sure to get the Philippines’ MMA community excited, his opponent is out to play the spoiler.
“It is exciting to test myself against someone who accomplished so much in this division. Stephen Loman set a very high standard as World Champion, and I respect everything he has achieved,” Abramishvili told BRAVE CF.
“A convincing win over him would show that I deserve to be the next man fighting for the BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Title.”
Should the Georgian emerge victorious, his case to compete for the top prize in the bantamweight division becomes that much stronger. He has posted four wins in as many appearances since his August 2024 debut, highlighted by two TKO outings and a submission win.
However, the Lions Nation MMA star is ready to show the No. 2-ranked contender why he returned to the Bahrain-based promotion.
“This organization gave me the platform to showcase my abilities to fans across the world and helped shape my career. Coming back here means everything to me, and this fight in Croatia is the first step toward reclaiming the BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Title,” the 27-year-old said in an interview with BRAVE CF.
