Trisha Tubu delivered when it mattered most, helping keep the Farm Fresh Foxies’ campaign alive.
The Foxies stunned the PLDT High Speed Hitters in four sets, 25-23, 18-25, 25-19, 25-23, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference semifinals at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday.
In the fourth set, the Foxies showed grit and heart as they overcame an 18-22 deficit and turned it into a two-point lead, 24-22. Alleiah Malaluan stopped the bleeding to save match point, 23-24, but Tubu closed the door and sealed the game with a spike.
Farm Fresh Stays Alive, PLDT Exits
With the win, Farm Fresh improved to 1-1 in the standings, staying in the hunt for a Finals berth while pushing the High Speed Hitters out the door as they are now 0-2—no thanks to their loss to the Creamline Cool Smashers previously and the Cignal Super Spikers’ win over Creamline, also on Tuesday. The victory also marked Farm Fresh’s first win over the High Speed Hitters.
“’Yung crucial part, ’yung pa-ending ng game, sobrang thankful ako sa coaches at mga kasama ko. ’Yung trust talaga, kahit anong mangyari, hindi nila ako pinabayaan. Kaya total team effort talaga ’tong game na ’to—super,” said Tubu.
Tubu erupted for 28 points built on 26 attacks and 2 blocks. Ces Molina added 12 points and 9 excellent receptions, while Royse Tubino chipped in 10 points off the bench, along with 15 excellent receptions.
Alohi Robins-Hardy orchestrated the offense with 20 excellent sets and 2 points, while Maicah Larroza and Bia General shared libero duties, recording 12 excellent digs and 18 excellent receptions, respectively.
For the High Speed Hitters, Kianna Dy led the team with 20 points, while Savannah Davison added 18 points and 13 excellent receptions. Malaluan had 17 points and 14 excellent digs.
