With head coach Tina Salak still away, deputy coach Eddieson Orcullo again led the Chargers.
“’Yung opportunity na binigay sa’min makabalik ulit dun sa last game namin, malaking bagay ’yun eh. Yung nangyaring match ngayon, talagang masasabi natin na ginusto ng lahat ’yun,” said Orcullo.
“Ginusto ng coaches na nasa labas para tingnan kung ano ’yung mga nangyayari sa loob. Yung players din, ganoon din ’yung naging reaction sa gusto naming mangyari,” he added.

Nxled Sweeps Capital1
Earlier, Nxled swept the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.
Capital1 stayed close in the third set until Jonah Sabete-Escamillan scored back-to-back points to put Nxled up 20-15. The Solar Spikers then lost their rhythm, and Gel Cayuna’s ace pushed the lead to 23-15.
Cherry Nunag answered with a running attack, but MJ Phillips countered with a drop ball. After Erika Santos saved the first match point, Myla Pablo blocked Bella Belen to end the match. Nxled’s block kept Belen to just 5 points, her lowest total since entering the league.
“I would be surprised if this didn’t happen because when we practice, we practice in the same way that we play, and we are practicing really well right now. I really think a lot of the developments belong to the way they are aggressively competing, but not in a bad way. Sometimes we fight really, really tough, but it’s always a very fair one,” said Nxled head coach Ettore Guidetti.
“I know that every single coach is studying the games deeply. I know everybody’s got their own system and strategy, et cetera. But I really think that now the girls are really good at doing what I’m asking them to do. So they know what I want. They don’t need a long speech or something like this. In two words, we organize our block and defense, and, at the same time, our block tactic,” he added.
Brooke Van Sickle led the Chameleons with 13 points.
Cayuna, named Player of the Game, distributed 16 excellent sets.
For the Solar Spikers, Santos had 12 points.
Nxled will next face Akari on Thursday, November 12, at 1:00 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Meanwhile, Capital1 will try to bounce back against the Farm Fresh Foxies on Saturday, November 14, at 6:00 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
