Series Outlook
On paper, these two teams are evenly matched, but there are a few storylines to watch closely as the series unfolds.
For Cleveland, having Harden running point takes significant pressure off Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, while Jarrett Allen has arguably played the best basketball of his career throughout this postseason — a quiet but crucial pillar for the Cavaliers.
For New York, the Knicks arrive in the Conference Finals looking like the more complete team after a dominant four-game sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers. The one major concern? OG Anunoby‘s hamstring. If he’s limited or unable to play at full capacity, it would significantly weaken the Knicks’ perimeter defense.
All things considered, we’re projecting a seven-game series, with the New York Knicks ultimately advancing to the NBA Finals — their first appearance since the 1998–1999 season. Buckle up for what should be a classic East playoff battle.
