Alex Eala from the Philippines will participate in the Jingshan Open 2025 in China and is facing Aliona Falei of Belarus in the Round of 32 on Sept 23 at 10:00 AM.
Eala Enters Jingshan as the Number #1 Seed and World-Ranked No. 57
After her championship at the WTA 125 Guadalajara Open in Mexico and Quarterfinals finish at the WTA 250 Sao Paulo Open in Brazil, Alex Eala now becomes No. 57, just one short of her career best in terms of Singles Ranking.
Aside from that, the 20-year-old Pinay enters the tournament as the #1 seed, which just becomes another one of her many accomplishments this 2025.
With all of this success on the line, many fans expect Eala to yet again strike the Finals and win the title. Her opponents, however, have now made her a target for an upset win.
Aliona Falei No. 322 is up for a Tough Match
The 21-year-old Belarusian is up for a heavyweight game against the young tennis legend from the Philippines in their Round of 32 clash.
Falei is currently ranked No. 322 and has last played in the W35 Vigo in Spain, wherein she reached the Quarterfinals, losing against Vendula Valdmannova in the last 2nd week of August 2025.
She then followed that tournament by participating in the current Jingshan Open, wherein she automatically qualified for the Round of 32, taking a good amount of rest and training for more than a month.
Meanwhile, Alex Eala has visited the Philippines in the past week after her last game on September 13 in the SP Open. Their Round of 32 match is scheduled tomorrow, Tuesday, September 23, at 10:00 AM (Philippine Date and Time).
