The La Salle Lady Spikers dominated the Ateneo Blue Eagles in straight sets, 25-13, 25-12, 25-18, in the UAAP Season 88 Women’s Volleyball Tournament at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.

In the third set, the Blue Eagles briefly held a 15-14 lead, but the Lady Spikers quickly regained control and unleashed a dominant 11-3 run, led by Angel Canino, Shane Reterta, and Lilay Del Castillo, to record their 12th victory of the season.

“’Yun nga, medyo nung third set, medyo nag-relax.

Old Reliables Lead La Salle Once More

Canino led the Lady Spikers with 15 points built on 13 attacks and 2 blocks, along with 9 excellent receptions. Amie Provido added 12 points, while Del Castillo and Shevana Laput had 9 points apiece.

La Salle etter Eshana Nunag orchestrated the offense with 22 excellent sets, while libero Lyka De Leon recorded 4 excellent digs and 4 excellent receptions.

For the Blue Eagles, Ana Hermosura was the lone bright spot with 10 points built on 9 attacks and 1 ace.

The Lady Spikers will next face the UE Lady Red Warriors on Wednesday, April 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Quadricentennial Pavilion. Meanwhile, the Blue Eagles will face the same team on Saturday, April 18, at the same venue.
