Here are the players who made the biggest impact on May 10 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Justin Brownlee GIN SF 18 PTS | 15 REB | 4 AST | 36.0 FPS

On the whole, this was another big showing for the superstar import, who finished with a game- and conference-high in rebounding. However, he was far from efficient, shooting just 2-for-10 from three-point area to finish with his lowest scoring output of the tournament while also committing six turnovers.

Earl Scottie Thompson GIN SF 9 PTS | 6 REB | 7 AST | 35.7 FPS

Thompson came through with another signature performance to lead Ginebra to a huge win over their rivals. Offensively, he was less productive today, scoring under the 10-point mark after doing so in six of his previous seven games. However, he more than made up for it with quality production in other categories, finishing with a team-high in assists.

Louis Raphael Cu GIN SF 7 PTS  | 12 REB | 1 STL | 22.9 FPS

The forward has been producing at a high level over his last two games. In their previous win against Rain or Shine, he was on fire, finishing with a conference-best scoring performance. He’s just as impressive today, posting his best rebounding game of the tournament.

Jason Alexander Brickman MER PG 9 PTS | 5 REB | 3 AST | 21.5 FPS

Offensively, Brickman has been having troubles lately, finishing with six points or fewer three times in his last four. While there wasn’t much improvement today, he still had an impactful game overall.

Paul John Lee MAG SG 13 PTS  | 3 REB | 3 AST | 20.1 FPS

This was certainly his best game of the tournament. Lee caught fire from long range, hitting two threes and a four-pointer to set a new conference-high. Despite a slow start in the previous months, he has since turned it around, providing a consistent impact on the offensive end.

Jerom Lastimosa MAG PG 8 PTS  | 5 REB | 2 STL | 20.0 FPS

This was the second straight game that Lastimosa failed to reach the double-digit scoring mark after doing so in five consecutive games recently. He was effective offensively nonetheless, and he also contributed strongly in different areas. For most of the conference, he’s played really well, and there’s no reason to believe that he can’t do the same in the playoffs.

Javier Joaquin Gomez de Liano MAG SG 10 PTS | 4 REB | 1 BLK | 18.8 FPS

For the most part of the conference, de Liano has largely failed to deliver. But he’s begun to come through over his last three games, averaging 12 points while also making his presence felt on defense.

Kim Cyril Aurin TNT SF 5 PTS | 3 REB | 2 STL | 16.6 FPS

For months, the wing has largely been out of the rotation in this conference. But he’s finally broken through over the last two games and made the most of it, impacting the game on both ends of the court.

Georges Isaac Go GIN C 9 PTS | 4 REB | 1 AST | 15.3 FPS

The center stepped up in a huge way on the offensive end, shooting 3-for-5 on two-pointers and adding a three-pointer for his best scoring game of the tournament. He was most impressive on the boards, however, notching four offensive rebounds.

Stephen Jeffrey Holt GIN SG 6 PTS | 4 REB | 1 STL | 15.3 FPS

Since moving to Ginebra, the shooting guard has made a name for himself as one of the team’s top two-way contributors. However, he rarely looked like that player this conference. Regardless, Holt should continue to see a significant role on the team going forward.

Ian Paul Sangalang MAG C 9 PTS | 4 REB | 1 STL | 15.3 FPS

Except for the turnovers, this was one of his better performances of the conference. Despite the drop in production, Sangalang has continued to be an asset for Magnolia in this tournament, averaging 7.4 points on 68% shooting from two through 12 games.

Javee Mocon MER SF 14 PTS | 5 REB | 2 TO | 14.8 FPS

For the second consecutive game, Mocon made a bigger impact offensively. He’s posted back-to-back 10-point performances while shooting 8-for-11 on two-pointers. Today, he added even more, knocking down two threes while leading the team in offensive rebounds.

Clifford Marion Hodge MER PF 10 PTS | 4 REB | 14.8 FPS

Recently, Hodge has been making an impact on the defensive end. He couldn’t do the same today, but he made up for it offensively, shooting 4-for-7 from two-point range for his third double-digit scoring game of the tournament.

Norberto Brian Torres GIN C 10 PTS | 1 REB | 1 AST | 10.7 FPS

Torres provided a huge boost on the scoring end, shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field. Including the previous conference, this was the seventh time that the veteran has reached double figures in scoring.

Pedro Alfaro III MAG PG 2 PTS | 4 AST  | 1 STL | 10.0 FPS

The guard has been a regular part of the rotation this conference and while he doesn’t have many big games, he still contributes positively in many ways. Today, however, he stepped up, finishing with his conference-high in assists.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Jordan Timothy Heading TNT SG 6 PTS | 3 REB | 1 STL | 13.1 FPS

Offensively, Heading just couldn’t get anything going today, shooting 2-for-10 from the field. This is now the third game in a row that he has failed to produce, which is a major issue with the playoffs arriving.
