As per the reports of Gerry Ramos of Spin.ph, the Philippine Basketball Association will play some of their regular games next season in Dubai, Bahrain and possibly in Saudi Arabia and Qatar as well.
Participation of Meralco Bolts in Basketball Champions League Asia
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial visited the United Arab Emirates in support of the Meralco Bolts campaign in the Basketball Champions League Asia.
The Bolts were fortunate to go in the quarterfinals with a 1-1 record but got eliminated when they blew a double digit lead against Ulaanbaatar Broncos of Mongolia.
It was back on June 15 wherein PBA posted 2 photos in which Commissioner Marcial is seen having a meeting with the Dubai Basketball Development Manager Ellie Flemings and Coca Cola Arena Dubai General Manager Mark Jan Kar.

Today, June 17, the reports are now official as from the exclusive story of Gerry Ramos via Spin.ph, here’s what the Commissioner has to say in his recent trip:
“Yung game sa Dubai malamang itong October na. Yung sa Bahrain, baka mag double-header games. Sa December naman yun.”
He then added that there are already teams in mind that they would like to play in both Middle Eastern countries, but he hasn’t named them yet.
In the meeting that he attended, Commissioner Marcial also suggested a possibility of games being played in Saudi Arabia and Qatar during the league’s 50th anniversary.
Way back in 2019, the league sent out Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, NLEX Road Warriors and San Miguel Beermen to play 2 games in Dubai during the Governor’s Cup.
