The Minnesota Timberwolves have tied their semifinals series with the San Antonio Spurs, surviving crunch‑time intensity to secure a 114‑109 victory in Game 4 on Monday.

Anthony Edwards continued to spearhead the Wolves’ offense, notching 36 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists to lead all scorers en route to the crucial win.

“We gotta capitalize when Wemby got thrown out of the game. We came out thinking it was gonna be easy, but those guys were really good. So we just had to play hard,” Edwards said postgame.

Edwards Explodes in Final Quarter as Timberwolves Tie Series

Entering the final frame down four points, Edwards once again showed his late‑game heroics, dropping 16 points in the fourth quarter alone, including a clutch three with five minutes left to reclaim the lead.

Naz Reid energized the bench with 15 points, while Rudy Gobert posted a double‑double of 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Despite committing 17 turnovers, Minnesota doubled down on defense, holding the Spurs to an abysmal 6‑for‑26 shooting from downtown.

With the victory, the Timberwolves will now return to enemy territory hoping to steal another game on San Antonio’s floor.

Victor Wembanyama Gets Ejected for Flagrant 2

In the early moments of the second quarter, star center Victor Wembanyama was called for a flagrant foul penalty two after elbowing Reid in the face, prompting an automatic ejection. He finished with only 4 points.

Without Wembanyama, the Spurs remained competitive until the final minutes, even doubling their opponent in steals, 13‑5. Ultimately, they were unable to pull away and now head back home with the series tied.

De’Aaron Fox led the Spurs with 24 points, while rookie Dylan Harper chipped in 24 off the bench.

Both teams will look to claim the series lead in Game 5 on Wednesday.
