Earlier this week, Twisted Minds (TWIS) shocked the MLBB scene by parting ways with most of their top stars from last season. They bid farewell to gold laners Nosia and Owl, rising roamer Caloy, star jungler MP the King, and longtime coach BON CHAN.
Twisted Minds Reloads
On Thursday, TWIS delivered another bombshell—pulling off Season 18’s biggest roster move yet by signing M4 champion and two-time MPL PH king Benedict “BennyQT” Gonzales.
He won’t be alone. TWIS retained three key pieces from last season to support him. Roamer Danielle “Tracyyy” Damasco moves into the main lineup after impressing in his S17 debut. Miguel “Sionn” Alcantara, the S16 Rookie of the Season, returns to the mid lane, while Lance “Lansu” Misa continues to anchor the EXP lane.
The team also added two major reinforcements. Former jungler Stephen Jasper “Sensui” Castillo rejoined after a stint in Laos, where he led Nine Esports to a runner-up finish in MCCM Season 7. Hendrich “Lyrick” Clahi, returning from a three-year coaching run in the Middle East, will serve as TWIS’s new head coach.
Is the New-Look TWIS the Real Deal?
Since debuting in 2025, Twisted Minds has proven its pedigree with wins over powerhouse teams and three straight playoff appearances. Their firepower was undeniable, but consistency remained elusive. With this revamped roster, TWIS looks more dangerous than ever heading into Season 18.
The foundation lies in their young core. Sionn and Lansu have consistently shown they can battle the league’s best. Tracyyy, meanwhile, is poised for a breakout. After starting last season as a backup, his Week 6 promotion sparked a turnaround—TWIS won three of their next four matches to clinch a playoff berth. His macro skills and playmaking could be even more impactful this year.
The real difference, however, comes from their veterans. Sensui brings discipline, objective control, and leadership, having already proven himself with Blacklist International’s third-place finish at M5.
And then there’s BennyQT. One of the most accomplished gold laners in MLBB, he adds explosive mechanics, clutch performances, and the ability to single-handedly swing games. For a young squad, his presence as a closer could be transformative.
With BennyQT leading the charge, Twisted Minds has the tools not just to reach the playoffs but to establish itself as a legitimate title contender in Season 18.
