NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Advice: Spurs vs. Knicks Finals Strategy

The 2026 NBA Finals are officially set, and the Larry O’Brien Trophy will be up for grabs between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs are coming off a grueling seven-game series that ended with them knocking off the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Meanwhile, the Knicks will have the benefit of rest on their side as they swept the formidable Cleveland Cavaliers on May 26. Everyone rested versus non-stop playoff basketball action. Who comes out on top? Well, we will find out soon enough.

From a fantasy standpoint, though, it is a dream scenario, and that is what we are here to do for the final Series Lineup Advice of the NBA season on Daily Fantasy. Before building this roster, we weighed the pros and cons of each top player per position, and this is what we came up with.

Our Tactical Roster Build

From a historical standpoint, this matchup is a rematch of the 1999 NBA Finals. As much as we want to have Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns as part of our lineup, they simply cost too much in terms of credits. Instead, we have built a highly balanced and potent squad:

  • The Frontcourt: At center, the best bang-for-your-buck pick is Victor Wembanyama (21.0 Credits) since he should match up well with the Knicks’ frontcourt. Joining him up front is OG Anunoby (14.5 Credits) because he is the best player out of all the names available at power forward. Small forward goes to New York’s Swiss Army knife, Mikal Bridges (9.5 Credits).
  • The Backcourt: Our backcourt features Stephon Castle (15.0 Credits) at point guard and Josh Hart (13.0 Credits) at shooting guard, as we expect them to put up big numbers at a decent amount of credits.
  • The FLEX Finishers: The FLEX is where it gets tough since we have 27 credits remaining and three spots to fill. We decided to go with the Spurs’ Devin Vassell (11.0 Credits) and Game 7 Western Conference Finals hero Julian Champagnie (10.0 Credits), while Landry Shamet (6.0 Credits) rounds out our team.

Our Captain Picks: Wemby and Stephon Castle should put up monster numbers throughout this championship round. We have locked in Victor Wembanyama as our Captain (2x multiplier) and Stephon Castle as our Vice Captain (1.5x multiplier) to anchor our squad.

Our Finals Prediction: In terms of pure basketball, this will be the most physical matchup yet. Both squads are relatively young and hungry, plus the talent on both sides is undeniable. However, we think New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani should prepare the streets of New York for a celebration, as the Knicks are taking home the title in six games.

Good luck with your NBA Finals picks! Let’s see who takes the first step toward crowning a champion.
