Norway have become one of the biggest movers in the latest FIFA world rankings after a stunning World Cup run pushed them into the top 20.
Led by Erling Haaland, Norway entered the tournament ranked only 31st in the world. But after advancing from the group stage and beating Ivory Coast and Brazil in the knockout rounds, they climbed 12 places to No. 19.
Their rise is one of the biggest ranking jumps of the tournament so far, putting them just behind Senegal and Japan. Japan, despite exiting in the Round of 32, remain the highest-ranked Asian team at No. 17.
France Reclaim No. 1 Spot
At the top of the rankings, France moved up two places to reclaim the No. 1 position, overtaking Argentina, who slipped to second. Spain dropped to third, while England stayed at No. 4.
Brazil moved up one place to fifth despite their World Cup exit, while Morocco continued their strong rise by climbing to sixth.
Switzerland also gained ground after beating Colombia, moving up to No. 14 and passing Italy, who failed to qualify for this World Cup.
With the World Cup knockout rounds still ongoing, more ranking movement could follow as the remaining teams continue their push toward the final.
