The Yulo brothers, Carlos and Eldrew, are headlining the Philippine gymnastics team that will represent the country in the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.
This will be the third time Carlos and Eldrew will compete in the same tournament, following their stint at the 2026 FIG World Cup Series—where the younger Yulo made his seniors debut—and the 2026 Senior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Zunyi, China.
Yulo Brothers Back at It
The competition in Zunyi was particularly noteworthy, as the Yulo brothers gave the world a glimpse of what they can do while bannering the red, white, yellow, and blue. In the Floor Exercise Final, Carlos won the gold medal with a score of 14.700, while Eldrew secured the bronze with 14.300. Then, in the Horizontal Bar Final, Eldrew finished in 4th place, outscoring Carlos in that specific apparatus. Carlos also placed 4th in the Individual All-Around.
Carlos, the older and more decorated Yulo, is aiming to win his first Asian Games medal after coming up empty-handed in the 2018 edition and skipping the 2023 Games.
Joining the two Yulos are Juancho Miguel Besana, Justine Ace De Leon, and Zachary Cortins Nuñez.
Another Olympian Included in the Lineup
The women’s team, meanwhile, will be headlined by Paris Olympian Levi Ruiviviar. Joining her are Kylee Kvamme, Chiara Dawn Andrew, Lauren Supnet, and Haylee Garcia.
The rhythmic gymnastics team will feature Breanna Labadan and Jasmine Althea Ramilo, while the trampoline events will see Jerry Ilano Jr. compete for the men and Luvicar Janine Padilla for the women.
The team, announced by the Philippine Olympic Committee on Tuesday, will look to contribute to the Philippines’ Asian Games medal haul this time around after failing to win any in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, back in 2023.
