Welcome to Rebanse Fantasy Corner! Today, we’re sharing our Daily Fantasy lineup recommendation for the highly anticipated PBA Commissioner’s Cup clash between Barangay Ginebra and the Titan Ultra Giant Risers this Sunday, April 26.
If you’re new to Daily Fantasy, it’s a player-versus-player fantasy basketball game where the points you earn depend entirely on the real-life performance of the players you select for your lineup.
Our Selection Policy: For this PBA slate, we are sticking to a disciplined approach regarding injuries. If a player is tagged as O (Out), Questionable, or INJ, we will not be including them in our lineup as they aren’t fully cleared for action. However, do keep an eye on the news closer to tip-off, as status updates can happen right up until the game begins.
Our Tactical Roster Build: Right out of the gate, we believe the teams’ imports are non-negotiable for any winning build. We are locking in Justin Brownlee (19 credits) for Ginebra at small forward and Michael Gilmore (20.5 credits) of Titan Ultra at center. Additionally, RJ Abarrientos (15 credits) is an easy lock at point guard given his current form.
Because Brownlee and Gilmore take up nearly 40% of the total credit balance, we’ve had to make some strategic sacrifices at the shooting guard and power forward spots. To balance the budget, we are rocking with Jeremiah Gray (7.5 credits) at the two and Titan Ultra’s Cade Flores (9 credits) at the four.
This leaves us with 29 credits for our FLEX spots, which we’ve used to secure:
- Joshua Munzon (15.5 credits)
- Nard Pinto (7 credits)
- Isaac Go (6 credits)
Our Captain Picks: For this matchup, the auto-selected captain Justin Brownlee and Vice Captain Michael Gilmore make complete sense to us, prioritizing the high-upside imports to maximize scoring potential.
