Here are the players who made the biggest impact on October 10 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Oscar Lopez Jr. MGP PG 41 PTS | 26 REB | 3 AST | 81.7 FPS

Lopez delivered yet another dominant outing, topping the leaderboard in both points and rebounds for the day. He set the tone early with 12 points in the opening quarter before dropping 13 more in the third to set a new conference-high. Through just two games, the Macau import has quickly asserted himself as a major presence inside the paint.

Juan Miguel Tiongson TER PG 30 PTS | 7 AST | 1 BLK | 43.7 FPS

Coming off a forgettable, scoreless performance against TNT where he went 0-for-5 from the field, Tiongson bounced back in a major way against Macau. He came out firing with 22 first-half points before finishing as the team’s top scorer. He was lethal from deep, burying 7-of-10 three-pointers to set a new season-high and log his fifth career 30-point game.

Maverick Ahanmisi TER PG 6 PTS | 12 REB | 14 AST | 41.4 FPS

Offensively, the Terrafirma guard has been on a tear this conference, averaging 16.6 points on 62% shooting from two through nine games. While he couldn’t match that level today after shooting just 2-for-10 from the field, he more than made up for it in other areas, posting career highs in both rebounds and assists.

Junemar Fajardo SMB C 14 PTS  | 18 REB | 2 STL | 41.1 FPS

The MVP returned to his dominant ways against TNT, stringing together a massive double-double. He particularly stood out on the boards, recording ten offensive rebounds to lead all players. He was also far more productive on offense today after struggling to hit double digits in four of his last five outings.

Nicholas Julian Hornsby TNT C 23 PTS | 6 REB | 3 STL | 40.2 FPS

It wasn’t the most efficient night for the import, as he struggled to find his rhythm—shooting just 8-of-18 from two, missing all four of his three-point attempts, and committing five turnovers. Still, he found ways to make an impact, finishing with a game-high in points while also contributing across the board.

Shaun Geoffrey Chiu TER C 18 PTS | 20 REB | 40.0 FPS

Limited to just four points in their loss to TNT, the rookie big man responded in a big way today, putting up a major double-double. He got the job done on offense, shooting 6-for-8 from the field and the free-throw line while also posting his second 20-rebound game of the tournament.

Roger Ray Pogoy TNT SF 21 PTS | 3 AST | 2 STL | 35.1 FPS

Pogoy provided TNT with a major offensive spark, finishing as the game’s top local scorer. He was on fire from the three-point area, converting 5-of-9 attempts and recorded his third 20-point outing of the conference. This was a big improvement for the forward after shooting just 2-of-16 from deep in their last six games.

George King SMB SG 20 PTS | 6 AST | 2 BLK | 34.8 FPS

The SMB import took early control against TNT, dropping 16 points in the opening quarters. He couldn’t sustain that form, however, finishing with just four points the rest of the game. He struggled badly from the three-point area, going 0-for-8 and turning in one of his worst scoring games of the conference.

Jaymar Perez SMB PG 21 PTS | 2 AST | 2 STL | 31.6 FPS

In his first game back after being sidelined because of an injury, Perez provided an immediate offensive boost, posting a team-high in points on 50% shooting from the field for his fourth 20-point game of the conference.

Calvin John Oftana TNT SG 18 PTS | 7 REB | 3 AST | 30.9 FPS

Offensively, it was a game of contrasts for the star forward. While he was unstoppable from inside the arc—shooting a perfect 5-for-5 on two-pointers—he struggled mightily from deep, converting just 1-of-6 attempts. Even so, he did what was needed and finished as one of the team’s top scorers.

John Matthew Bravo TER PF 22 PTS | 3 REB | 1 AST | 26.1 FPS

The sophomore forward came through in a major way offensively, going 7-for-8 on two-pointers and adding two threes to set a new career-high. This was also his third game this conference, scoring at least 15 points.

Marcio Lassiter SMB SG 16 PTS | 3 REB | 2 AST | 24.6 FPS

The sharpshooting guard was at his usual best on the offensive end, going a perfect 3-for-3 from deep and also adding a four-pointer for his sixth double-digit scoring game of the conference.

Rey Benedict Nambatac TNT PG 15 PTS | 5 REB | 1 STL | 22.5 FPS

The TNT guard got off to an explosive start against SMB, knocking down two three-pointers and scoring 10 points in just the first quarter. This was the sixth time this conference that he finished with at least 15 points.

Jayson Castro TNT PG 13 PTS | 3 REB | 3 AST | 19.1 FPS

In just his second game back from injury, the veteran guard made an immediate impact, finishing with a quality all-around production. He was particularly effective on offense, scoring 10 points in the second quarter before finishing in double figures for the seventh time since the previous conference.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Celedonio Trollano SMB SF 3 PTS | 3 REB | 2 AST | 9.6 FPS

Before the break, the forward had emerged as one of the team’s most reliable scorers, averaging 17.1 points on 58% shooting from two and 44% from three over their first nine games. He was far from that level today, however, shooting just 1-for-6 from the field and finishing with a conference-low in scoring.
