Here are the players who made the biggest impact on August 12 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Tirrell Dwayne Brown II TGR PF 34 PTS | 13 REB | 4 STL | 71.6 FPS

It was largely a one man show on the offensive end for Titan, with no other player scoring more than 11 points. Brown once again put the team on his back, dropping his third 30-point game of the conference while knocking down 6-of-8 from the three-point area. He rounded out this performance by posting excellent numbers on the glass and on the defensive end. Though the team has clearly struggled this conference, Brown has been nothing short of impressive.

Robert Johnson PHX SF 37 PTS | 3 STL | 3 BLK | 64.6 FPS

Offensively, the Phoenix import has been a consistent scoring threat throughout the conference. But he’s been on another level lately, scoring 82 points in his last two games. In that span, he was a force from inside the arc, converting 15-of-28 two-point attempts while also averaging six triples.

George King SMB SG 39 PTS | 10 REB | 5 AST | 63.5 FPS

Scoring has never been an issue for the standout import. He finished as the top scorer in the league today, shooting an incredible 14-for-22 from two and recorded at least 35 points for the fourth time in five games. He was just as impressive in other areas, filling out his stat line with quality numbers in the secondary categories.

KJ Buffen MAG SF 35 PTS | 10 REB | 3 BLK | 57.5 FPS

The Magnolia import continues to produce on an elite level on the scoring end, posting a new conference-high performance. He gave the team a strong offensive boost early, dropping 20 points in the first half and added six more in the fourth for his third 30-point outing in the league.

John Rodney Brondial SMB C 13 PTS | 17 REB | 4 AST | 44.4 FPS

This is what Brondial is really capable of. The San Miguel center was inserted into the starting lineup today and took full advantage, posting his best scoring game of the conference. He was even more impressive on the boards, leading all players in rebounds while collecting more offensive rebounds than the entire Titan team.

Jerom Lastimosa MAG PG 30 PTS | 3 AST | 2 STL | 37.5 FPS

Struggling for most of the conference, Lastimosa has completely turned things around over his last two games. He was the team’s top local scorer in their win against Meralco and he carried that momentum today, finishing with a career-high performance. The Magnolia guard was almost unstoppable, tallying 12 points in the fourth quarter and shooting an impressive 11-for-14 overall.

Ricci Paolo Rivero PHX SF 16 PTS | 6 REB | 5 STL | 36.7 FPS

The Phoenix wing once again put up a brilliant performance, finishing second in the team in scoring and third in rebounding. He was most impressive on the defensive end, however, finishing with a season-high in steals.

Andy Mark Barroca MAG PG 21 PTS | 6 REB | 4 AST | 36.2 FPS

This was a classic performance from the veteran guard. Offensively, he was locked in, scoring 10 points in the fourth to lead his team to the win and record his best scoring game of the conference. He also contributed strongly in other areas, leading the team in assists while matching his conference-high in rebounding.

Celedonio Trollano SMB SF 21 PTS | 10 REB | 2 TO | 31.0 FPS

Trollano was his usual reliable self on the scoring end, leading all local scorers while also recording his third 20-point outing in six games. He particularly stood out in the fourth quarter where he poured in 12 points to push his team further ahead.

Aristotle Dionisio TGR PF 8 PTS | 10 REB | 1 BLK | 26.0 FPS

Offensively, the veteran forward had a tough time against SMB, going 1-of-6 from deep while also committing three turnovers. Despite that, he still made a significant impact, posting a complete stat line while registering a new conference high in rebounds.

Fran Louie Yu TGR PG 11 PTS | 2 AST | 2 STL | 20.4 FPS

Three-point shooting has been a major problem for the Titan guard this conference, converting just 6-of-26 attempts. But he turned things around today, hitting 3-of-5 to finish as the team’s leading local scorer and also record his fourth double-digit scoring output.

Jerrick John Balanza TGR SF 10 PTS | 4 REB | 5 AST | 20.3 FPS

The veteran has been a dependable offensive force for Titan lately and he showed that again with this performance. While he couldn’t get anything going from deep, missing all five attempts, he made up for it by going 4-for-5 from two and finishing among the game’s leaders in assists.

Kenneth James Tuffin PHX SF 12 PTS | 3 REB | 3 AST | 20.1 FPS

By his standards, this was a relatively quiet game for the forward. Tuffin struggled on two-point attempts, converting just 1-of-5 while also posting a subpar rebounding total. He continues to be a reliable threat from long range, however, hitting two triples today and going 9-for-20 over his last four games.

Christopher Ross SMB PG 1 REB | 8 AST | 1 STL | 15.2 FPS

The veteran guard hasn’t made much of an impact as a scorer this conference, but he continues to find other ways to help the team. He did just that today, leading all players in assists. Through four games this month, he’s made a steady impact, averaging 2.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per outing.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Jerrick Vincent Ahanmisi SMB SG 11 PTS | 1 REB | 1 STL | 15.2 FPS

Overall, it was another underwhelming outing for the San Miguel guard, who finished with another subpar game offensively and also made little impact in other areas. Still, he showed some positive signs, posting his third double-digit scoring game in his last five outings while also converting 2-of-4 from long range after going just 3-for-16 to begin the month.
