Here are the players who made the biggest impact on July 14 and the stats to prove it.

TOP PERFORMERS OF THE DAY:

Deschon Winston NLX SG 30 PTS | 9 REB | 6 AST

This was a standout performance for the NLEX guard. Steady throughout the game, he finished strong by pouring in 15 fourth-quarter points to lead all scorers and set a new career high. He was equally impressive in other areas, leading the team in assists and also posting a season high in rebounds.

Robert Bolick NLX PG 29 PTS | 7 REB | 4 AST

Offensively, the first two games of this conference have been difficult for Bolick. But he finally got his groove back today, shooting 7-of-9 on two-pointers and 4-for-7 from deep. In the previous conference, he was highly reliable as a scorer, averaging 19.8 points across 14 games.

Kevin Alas NLX PG 14 PTS | 5 REB | 4 AST

Through the first three conference games, the guard has been excellent offensively, averaging 14.0 points on solid shooting percentages. He made an even bigger impact today, ranking among the team’s leaders in assists while tying his season high in rebounds.

Enoch Valdez NLX SG 4 PTS | 10 REB | 1 STL

Even though he struggled offensively shooting just 1-of-6 from the field, the wing still made a huge difference, finishing with a team-high and also setting a new season-high in rebounds.

Tirrell Dwayne Brown II TIT PF 27 PTS | 10 REB | 1 STL

The Titans’ import finally made his debut and immediately made his mark on the scoring end, pouring 13 points in the first quarter before finishing with a pair of triples and a four-pointer. That said, he looks capable of being a reliable 20-and-10 force this conference.

Shej Roi Sumang TIT PG 18 PTS | 2 AST | 2 STL

Sumang stepped up in a huge way today, scoring 15 points in the second half to finish as the team’s leading local scorer. This was also his best scoring game of the season.

John Rodney Brondial SMB C 25 REB | 7 AST | 4 STL

Big man Brondial came up big in the absence of Fajardo, putting up a dominant all-around stat line. He did most of his damage in the paint, where he shot a perfect 5-for-5 on two-pointers while also recording a new career-high in rebounds. Elsewhere, he was just as effective, posting a season-high in assists and making a strong impact on defense.

George King SMB SG 30 PTS | 5 REB | 7 AST

The prolific-scoring import was his usual reliable self in his debut, hitting 8-of-11 from two while going 7-of-9 from the line to finish as the top scorer of the game. In the 24-25 Commissioner’s Cup, King had a highly impressive run with Blackwater, averaging 34.5 points and 10.4 rebounds across 10 games.

Jaymar Perez SMB SG 21 PTS | 5 REB | 3 STL

Perez provided plenty of positives for SMB. In terms of scoring, he failed to convert a three-pointer but he still finished as the team’s best local scorer. He also made his presence felt in other ways, grabbing five offensive rebounds while also coming up strong in defense.

Jerrick Vincent Ahanmisi SMB SG 16 PTS | 4 REB | 4 AST

The shooting guard had a positive debut for SMB, delivering an efficient shooting performance while impacting the game in other ways. In the previous conference with Terrafirma, he was their most reliable scorer, reaching at least 15 points nine times in 12 games.

Jericho Xavier Cruz SMB SG 20 PTS | 3 REB | 2 STL

Cruz was instrumental for SMB, scoring seven points in the second quarter to help his team get back into the game and adding 11 points in the fourth quarter to help extend their lead. This performance marked his third 20-point game of the season.

Kobey Lam MGP SG 22 PTS | 3 STL | 3 BLK

Lam struggled in his debut, scoring just 4 points on a rough 2-for-11 shooting. But he quickly got back on track with today’s performance, shooting efficiently from both two- and three-point range while also contributing all over the stat sheet. Having already established himself as a premier scoring threat in his previous stints in the league, he should be poised for more high-scoring outings moving forward.

De’Vondre Perry MGP PF 25 PTS | 14 REB | 2 STL

This was the import’s second consecutive game, recording at least 25 points and 10 rebounds. The only issues for him are the turnovers, as he’s averaging four per game along with some inefficiency in the scoring end.

Damian Chongqui MGP PG 22 PTS | 5 REB | 8 AST

Following his explosive scoring debut against NLEX, Chongqui had a rough time today, going just 4-for-13 from the field and failing to convert a three-pointer. However, he made up for it at the free-throw line, shooting 14-for-15 while also leading all players in assists. In the previous conference, he averaged 19.8 points and 7.7 assists per game.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE DAY:

Fran Yu TIT PG 3 PTS | 7 REB | 8 AST

Though he contributed in rebounding and playmaking, his struggles as a scorer are undeniable. He posted a new conference low today after shooting just 1-for-8 from the field and continued his struggles from long range, going 0-for-12 over his first three games.
