The next wave of professional volleyball talent will take center stage later today as 38 aspirants vie for their spot in the Premier Volleyball League during the 2026 PVL Draft at Novotel Manila Araneta City.

Leading the draft class are National University setter Lams Lamina and University of Santo Tomas libero Detdet Pepito. Lamina and Pepito are two of the most accomplished collegiate players available after the withdrawal of projected top prospects Alyssa Solomon and Niña Ytang.

Lamina enters the draft as a two‑time UAAP Best Setter and one of the most decorated playmakers in recent memory, while Pepito brings championship experience and a pair of Best Libero awards from her stint with the Golden Tigresses.

Who’s Next in the 2026 PVL Draft After Pepito and Lamina?

Several prospects also boosted their stock during the PVL Draft Combine conducted by the Valor Performance Institute.

Adamson’s Barbie Jamili emerged as one of the top athletic performers after topping the 10‑meter sprint, pro agility 5‑10‑5 test, and hop test reactive strength index. Meanwhile, University of the East standout Khy Cepada impressed across multiple categories, finishing among the top performers in speed, explosiveness, and agility drills.

Far Eastern University setter Tin Ubaldo will not attend the draft proper as she remains with the Alas Pilipinas Women pool preparing for the AVC Women’s Volleyball Cup in Candon City.

Among the notable UAAP prospects in the 2026 PVL Draft pool are UST’s Jonna Perdido and Xyza Gula; UP’s Irah Jaboneta, Joan Monares, Heart Magsombol, and Jum Gayo; FEU’s Ann Asis and Florize Papa; De La Salle’s Ela Raagas, Michelle Beterina, and Sophia Sindayen; UE’s Tin Ecalla and Kayce Balingit; and Ateneo’s Taks Fujimoto.

Filipino‑American outside hitter Jade Fuentes, who previously trained with La Salle before continuing her collegiate career in the United States, is the lone Filipino‑foreign applicant in the draft.

The Galeries Tower Highrisers hold the coveted No. 1 overall selection in the 2026 PVL Draft after winning the draft lottery. Next will be the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, Zus Coffee Thunderbelles, Akari Chargers, Nxled Chameleons, Farm Fresh Foxies, PLDT High Speed Hitters, and Creamline Cool Smashers.
