Lams Lamina may leave the collegiate ranks as one of the most decorated setters in recent UAAP history, but the longtime NU Lady Bulldogs playmaker is approaching the professional stage with the mindset of starting all over again.
After 11 years inside the NU system—from high school at NU Nazareth School to the collegiate level—Lamina is now preparing for the next chapter of her career through the 2026 PVL Rookie Draft.
And despite everything she has already accomplished, the four‑time UAAP Best Setter made it clear that she still sees herself with plenty to prove.
Lamina Is a Proven Winner
Lamina helped anchor NU’s dynasty during her collegiate career, steering the Lady Bulldogs to multiple championships while establishing herself as one of the country’s premier setters.
But with the PVL offering a deeper, more experienced level of competition, the 5‑foot‑7 playmaker acknowledged that the adjustment period will be far from easy.
One of the Likely Top Picks
Lamina is widely considered one of the top prospects in the upcoming PVL Draft scheduled for June 3 at Novotel Manila Araneta City.
The first four selections currently belong to the Galeries Tower Highrisers, Capital1 Solar Spikers, Choco Mucho Flying Titans, and ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles.
